Rave/rant: Sibling bullshit. Spoiler I haven't spoken with my older brother since Christmas and he wants to meet up soon. Part of me wants to give him an opportunity because he's taken a step forward, but the rest of me doesn't want to bother with him anymore and keep our distance. I know my mom would much rather see us not hate each other (and it would make my guilt-tripping sisters happy) and but the bad feelings I have regarding my brother vastly outweigh any good and it would take a hell of a lot on both of our ends to create a good relationship. At the moment I really don't think it's going to be worth the effort for me, but I will never know if he's sincere unless I call him back. Rant: I've had a very up/down month at work so far and this is the last shit I need looming over my head on a day like today. I need to be relaxed and confident but it's going to take a lot to snap out of feeling cynical and self-critical.
Rave: Got called for an interview at the university. Oh, this job would be sweet. Rant: Foul weather season is upon us. Two months of t-storms, hail and tornadoes. And then that's followed by summer, or as I like to call it here in Texas, hell.
Rave: House renovations almost complete. So excited. Bigger rave: I'm throwing the biggest, baddest, best Cinco de Mayo/Birthday/Housewarming party ever. Sent out all the invites today. Can't wait. Biggest rave: New job is going so well. Having so much fun. More money, less problems - surprisingly enough. And I'm loving working right downtown. So much to do. So much to see. So many places to drink happy hour beers!
Rave: Moving to a 2 br/2 bath apartment next weekend. Signing for it this weekend. Rave/Rant: Gotta spend a bunch of cash on furniture. Exciting, but expensive. Rant: The drive to base will be about an hour for the next two to three weeks after the move. Rave: 21 events left. Flights and Sims in all. I should be in the fleet by the end of next month. Rave: 4 flights this week, a few more next week, then a possible cross country flight to Savannah, GA the next weekend. Rant: If i go on the cross country, I'll have to move in this weekend. If i don't go, I'll move in next weekend and still be around for my current place to get cleaned. Lots of shit going on soon.
Rave: Going to- New Orleans, May 3-7. LA - First two weeks of June. Chicago, July 31-August 5'th. Montreal, sometime in October. Can we do a meet up for any of these? That would be fucking awesome.

Rant: God, I'm sick of fighting with people this week. Between customers at work who have NO BUSINESS drafting their own house to retailers trying to screw me when I've paid $2000 for a couch that was delivered damaged, I'm on the warpath. Why can't it just be straightforward where people do their job properly and don't attempt things they aren't trained in? Double Rant: My left psoas muscle is fucked up. It's tight and constantly 'in-tone.' Reading up on what it will take to fix it: - Don't sit all day - Don't sleep on your stomach - Move more - Don't hook your feet under you when you're sitting So...yeah. Basically everything I do, be it sitting, standing or sleeping has to change. God almighty, I'll be in this pain forever.
Rant: At 4:30 my boss had me change a patch panel around in a way that I'm not supposed too, so he could make something work. I've told him before that this will make the building owners pissed at us if we get caught and they can make our lives fucking miserable. He assured me that he'll take the flack for it if that happens, but asked if I could hang around a few minutes after 5 to patch it back the way it was for him. Fuck, fine, whatever. RANT! Just looked up to see the cocksucker disappearing around the corner. Not a fucking word to me that he's done. It's 5 minutes to six, which is somewhat more than a couple of minutes after 5, and there's no telling how fucking long I would have sat here waiting for him to let me know he was done, if I hadn't seen him fucking leaving. He didn't even answer his phone when I rang him to confirm that I could re-patch it. I had to find someone else who was in the meeting with him and ask. Fucking Ball licker! I hope he gets run over by a bus. Rave: Apart from the fact that my boss is a pain in my fucking ass, this is easily the best job I've had in years. Probably ever.
