I can't believe it took so long for me to get into Curb Your Enthusiasm but I am hooked. Larry David is the perfect horrible combination of Jerry and George.
I don’t know how far you are, but when Leon joins, it’s even more amazing. The most recent season was a huge let-down, though.
Yep we've met the Blacks, they have come and gone. Leon remains. We just saw the episode where Larry kills the black swan at the country club. No idea how many more seasons remain.
I don't know how this didn't end up as its own thread. (Or if it did, I can't find it. Y'all remember when that Pandemic thing and stay-at-home orders started and everybody was watching the bananas Tiger King? . . .) Anyway, batty Carole and her cuckhold husband agreed to help with trying to get crazy Joe out of prison, if he'd agree to support legislature preventing big cat ownership. https://www.etonline.com/tiger-king...kins-offer-to-help-reduce-his-prison-sentence
I don't know where to put this question. I don't have Peacock or Hulu. I'm doing a rewatch of The Office, so I'm just recording them off Comedy Central. When I originally set them all to record, I didn't get Season 6, Episode 13 (Secret Santa). I thought I had lost power that night or something. But, this the second time through since then, and they still skip from 12 to 14. I can't find any blackface controversy mentioned or anything like that. Does anyone know why they skip that episode?
That’s the only episode I see was missed. They may have renumbered them on you or something. Or maybe an intern fucked up and spilled coffee on the tape of your missing episode?
Interesting. Apparently Comedy Central only airs that episode in November/December, because it's a Christmas episode.
I've seen that episode before. I think @Rush-O-Matic is right. Sometimes episodes in random shows are never aired again, though. It's like that lost Seinfeld episode where Kramer accidentally sets a Puerto Rican flag on fire and stomps on it during a parade. It only ever aired on TV once.
I’m surprised they haven’t gone after George identifying as a neo-Nazi to score a free limo ride. “David Duke considers him to be a dangerous man!”
Castlevania on Netflix is amazing. The storyline involves Dracula and legions of demons from hell, with the Belmonts as protagonists like in the video games. It's quite well written with a compelling story and the animated style is darkly gothic with a ton of shocking gore. The demons are fucking creepy with great variety of fuckupedness. We noticed they put up a 4th season recently and are watching it now. It's a good one, and you should at least give a few episodes a chance.
Love Death and Robots also has another few episodes. It can be hit or miss, but the hits are spectacular.
Mare of Easttown on HBO is the best suspense show I’ve ever seen. They are on episode 5 of 7. I haven’t been this pumped about a TV show since breaking bad. It’s really awesome. anyone else watching it?
Kate Winslet certainly isn’t short on great acting performances, this show is probably the best thing she’s ever done. Talk about painting an ugly portrait of a tortured soul.
I watched the first episode last night and I really like it so far. It has some True Detective vibes to it. My mom grew up outside Philadelphia and still has a pretty heavy eastern PA accent. Winslet really nails that perfectly.
