Like when he released in on April Fool’s just as a “I’ll show you” to a single twitter heckler? When that show hit the air it’s like a million junkies got their fix at once. All the sudden all was forgiven, the world could spin again. ....then, three more months of waiting and pissyness. I love it. They just troll the fuck out of everybody. Red herrings, fake trailers, no half-assed theory a super fan concocts ever comes true. They are doing it right.
He's also got another show, "Harmonquest", that's a live/animated DND show with some celebrities... it's pretty funny, even if you don't like DND. Dude has some real-life demons, though... some abuse issues with his wife (who was on the first season of HQ with him, but now are divorced) and some drinking... but yeah, he's a funny motherfucker who's doing his own thing and doing it well.
Oh HELL yeah... At work, one of the clients is changing up their slack workspace... #1 most important task on the migration list? Re-import all the R&M stuff... because, priorities.
Season 4 starts tonight 11:30. As much as I think this is probably the funniest show on TV, the fanbase of this show honestly terrifies me with how they carry themselves. They are an extremely defensive and condescending horde. I just love the show. That’s it. I’m not going to swarm-attack anybody for thinking another show is funnier or smarter, like a lot of these people. This is why I hate “groups.”
The die hard fans of any group ruin it for the rest of us. Same with fan of music groups too. I’m a tool fan, and I hate tool fans.
The first two episodes have stood on the gas pedal start-to-finish for this season. Jesus CHRIST do they cram a shit-tone of gags, originality and utter fucked-uppedness in such a short time. The wasp family dinner gleefully crosses the line in excruciating horror.
As if it can’t get better, Elon becomes a character on the show. And we owe it all to everyone’s input.
The new episode is an absolute all-out assault on the senses. Spoiler And unfortunately cops out on another Interdemensional Cable episode.
That episode didn't really do it for me. There's a fine line between effective satire (which can still be over-the-top, or ridiculous, or zany), and straight-out slapstick comedy. The episode just drifted back and forth over that line, and the slapstick/stupider elements really dragged the episode down.
Your brother has no taste. I wish they had told an actual story and woven in the comedic plot points instead of the entire story revolving around them. "Everything is fake and trite and stupid" isn't that funny.
I don’t know if they’ll ever top “The Ricklantis Mix-Up (Tales from the Citadel) for me. The episode was so brilliant and so exploding with ideas while utilizing the same two characters, over and over again. It was also the most “serious” episode, by far.
