It is the little things in life. I am glad to see the TIB did not go away as I feared on Saturday. The wife found an antique shop in town that has a used record room. I spent an hour Saturday looking and buying ten records that I can say are older than about 90 percent of the people on this board. I just hope Lust is still around so I can talk to him about the them.
I'll throw my hat into the ring about needing that board is down E-mail buddy thing too. I was worried though that they decided to shut it down RMMB-style.
Glad the site is back up. Now we can get back to sharing extremely important, deeply meaningful ideas, information, and media.
FBI knows who made the $500 million Gardener Art Museum heist. Couple art lovers on this site, so what the hey. So damn cool. This blows my mind that they might recover this stuff. One of the pieces is The Concert by Vermeer, one of my favorite artists. If it does come back to public viewing, it will be one of the most valuable paintings in the world. It is inimitably gorgeous. Fun Fact: The Mona Lisa was stolen in 1911. The theft popularized the painting to the near hysteric and ubiquitous levels of today. Why are sweet potato fries so goddamn delicious? I suppose the best thing about this cooking gig is that I cook them all the delicious food that I crave and then give it away.
If everyone is so happy that TiB is back, how come no one is posting in the Boobie thread? Also, my power is out and has been for 5 hours since a storm. Using the last of my laptop battery to check TiB. DSL modem and wireless router running off an inverter plugged into a jumper box while my cell phone is charging in my truck. Beeeeecause, I haven't run my generator in about 6 months, and the carbs are gummed up. Dammit. Yeah.
At the party this weekend, our gay friend thought it would be funny to download gay porn on his phone and then randomly shove the phone in front of his friends' faces to get their reaction. He also told one of our friends that is a little, um, metrosexual, that the jacket he was wearing would easily get him entrance into any gay club in Philly. I don't know if he'll be wearing it again in public. You could almost see him deflating from his excitement at wearing a cool coat. It was kind of a weird sweater/pea coat that stopped at his waist. Finally, we found out our other friend sells sex toys on eBay. Apparently cock rings are big sellers. He recommended it as a lucrative side job. Note to self: Don't buy sex toys from eBay in case it's from my friend. That would be weird.
I literally got angry that I couldn't log onto the board this weekend. I may have even shouted obscenities. Oh well, good to see we are back in business. Just got home from Chicago...I love that city. They know how to do St. Patty's Day. And the women, lots of drunk horny, good looking women. Back to school and reality tomorrow.
I'm pretty sure that Kojak didn't just have a groundbreaking, awarding winning, bank machine dispensing movie, crash and burn. I've heard that sometimes the internet is fussy. And in other news, I couldn't get on the board either (obviously), but I drink and thought it was my fault. I also couldn't get on the internet for the last two days, but I drink. Thank goodness tech support are a crack team and fixed it for me. Who knew you just had to unplug and replug your modem and router in? How much do they make? I bet they drink too.
I actually didn't have to work St. Paddy's day this year, which I would have thought impossible working at an Irish Pub. I settled on Kilkenny this year, and they didn't go down too poorly. I had the following conversation with a girl at a bar, which was actually pretty early in the day: Me: "so are you checking out the parade later, or hitting up some other bars?" Her: "we heard there's a bar somewhere that has Leprechaun wrestling, so we really want to see that!" Me: "that's probably at Scary Canary (a backpacking bar in the city), they host all sorts of stuff like that. I saw midgets dressed in Lederhosen wrestling for Oktoberfest last year. They always have midgets dressed up wrestling for different themes" Her: "oh they dress up midgets - that's so slack! I thought they got real Leprechauns" I stopped talking to her pretty quickly after that.
Funny, I've been randomly shoving THIS video in people's faces lately: Spoiler ...not ONE person hasn't laughed their ass off.
Wow, the board was down for a couple days and now people are happy and grateful! Is this how it feels to neg? Did we do a neg? Sorry I doubted you pick up artists, i'm gonna go out and make more negs now.
I think it's shortform for 'slacking', as in if they put forth proper effort they would've procured some real leprechauns, but they decided to half-ass it instead and just dressed up some midgets.
