    I agree that "strawman" is an overused term, but how does else to call an argument which (for instance, from this topic) translates "black people are statistically more likely to be good basketball players than Jews are" into "every black person is interchangeable"?

    I guess "idiotic, dishonest bullshit from a complete moron" works too, but it's a hell of a lot more vague.

    I just flicked through the TiBette thread looking for jokes, piss takes, general hilarity etc, it's just not there. It's all "girl talk", the sort of stuff I expected to see "shoes, makeup, Johnny Depp is hot etc" you know, stuff girls like to talk about. Almost no jokes, and virtually no social commentary.

    Is that bad, hell no, it’s our differences that keep things interesting. Is it the sort of things most guys find entertaining/funny? No.
