Because, if I remember correctly, after they broke into Gemma's and beat up Unser they stole Clay's safe. I have a feeling Clay needed something in that safe. I also think it was in the second episode where you see the nomads throw out the safe in a dumpster. Other than that I don't really have a good reason to think he's involved. I guess it's more of a feeling than anything else.
I'm feeling that as well. The way that episode was edited together made it definitely seem like that. I think when they were showing the dumping of the safe and then they then cut directly to Clay just sitting around sipping whiskey being all contemplative and shit. Juxtaposing those two scenes was a big indicator for me. Clay was also pretty reasonable about the invasion. His emotions were way too restrained when he found out about it for the invasion to be a surprise. Wasn't there also a scene where Clay confronts Unser about interviewing people and writing it down in his notebook?
Man, that bitch doesn't know when to quit. And the blond "heartland" hooker looked pretty good for having taken a Gemma beatdown. Too good.
I just watched the episode again and I'm still pissed Opie was killed off. Easily my favorite character. I get it, they need Opie's death as a device to forward Jax's development into the leader of the club, but it still sucks. It will be interesting to see the fallout from this. Spoiler I figure that Jax will want to go after Pope, leveraging Gallindo for that. It will take him to new lows/dark places in order to get that done. I can't wait to see that corrections officer die. Sutter's take on it:
More of Sutter's explanation of why Op died, and what it'll mean for Jax from here on out: http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/09/26/sons- ... rt-sutter/
Apparently Sutter wrote the part with Ashley Tisdale specifically in mind, as she's a friend of the family or something. But yeah, she had no marks on her from getting her nose broken or almost choked to death by Gemma. http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/01/sons- ... ed-escort/ And it's pretty clear that Nero's bottom bitch is who called the cops in the first place, yeah?
I still think Clay is behind the beatdowns (as those three idiots wouldn't do that on their own), but does anyone have any idea how this benefits Clay? Is it just the angle that he would be able to depose Jax if the club lost support of the town? And Walton Goggins deserves all the acting awards in the world.
Yeah, I think you're right Clay is behind it, but I can't see the motive. But given who the latest victim is, I think we're going to start seeing a lot more on that plot line. And when Goggins came on screen, I said, "No! That isn't! Wait! Yes, it is! No! Yes!" Hilarious character and very well played. Spoiler And Tig should have known that messing with that guy would come back and bite him in the ass. But seriously, getting shot in the butt was mildly amusing. This was just sad.
I think the only reason Clay stayed so long at the police station was so that he'd have an alibi against the Home Invasions (which I don't think he wanted to include the shooting of the Sheriff's wife and killing of her unborn baby). As soon as I saw the Sheriff kiss her belly, I thought, "Oh no, that's gonna happen". I thought it would be episodes down the road, didn't expect it that soon. Why is Tara not telling Jax that her hand is way forward of schedule, and better than expected? The fact that Jax is now doing voice overs for letters he's writing reminiscent of John Teller's letters at the beginning of the series is worrying. As someone said earlier, I nominate Walton Goggins for all the "Guest star" emmys from here until forever, based on that. Did you see those tits? Fuckin Tig was killing me. And Tommy from True Blood didn't help. I think this may have been my personal "Most laughed at" episode of SoA ever. Have we lost the fact that Juice was a rat? Guy that plays the Mayor is still creepy as shit, maybe even more so with the shitty, wispy Fu-Manchu. The "Irish discussion" felt exactly right to me, until old dude shot up their bikes. Sending them a bill for their bikes doesn't encompass what they're gonna be missing. The custom paint jobs, the gear, more importantly, the history each man has with his ride. That's irreplaceable. I like that Jax took it in stride, in the spirit of getting on, but... Fuck, I would have been Chibs, losing my mind that he thought that was ok. Guess I'll never be the leader of an outlaw MC... And can I ask, how soon are we to believe that these bikes get replaced by the IRA? Gonna have to be a couple weeks at least. And if they show up with the same custom paint jobs, it will be the first time I've ever been disappointed in the writing of this show.
The shooting of the bikes is one of the first complaints I've had about this show. My first thought went right to the recent crossover promotion with Harley Davidson that I've seen ads for regarding their custom bikes and all the bells and whistles on them. I immediately thought it was an excuse to get a few more custom bikes into the cue for promotion. "Hey look, that's Chib's new bike." Seemed forced that they'd get destroyed and it was unnecessary to the plot. While writing this post, I did a quick search and this came up. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/business/158868595.html Hmmmm, seems a little convenient. Now they can have more designs. Get Chib's old bike or his new bike.
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting the Carla twist. Spoiler I think Wayne's going to bite it for getting to close to proving Clay behind the home intrusions, but he's going to leave a trail that either Jax or Eli will find. And Tara was just plain stupid for not telling Jax what happened with Otto (which was a great scene).
The club needs to tie Filthy Phil to a treadmill for a month, make him grow out his beard, and mold him into Opie II
Oh my God. Spoiler Where did the black dude in the mask come from?? What the fuck was that?? Also, they need to give warning before showing me the image of what may or may not be a small child bleeding out after being impaled with a tree limb. Fuck you, Gemma. Fuck you.
Spoiler I have to believe Clay was behind the hit attempt on Jax so he can build up his finger pointing at Pope. Jenna responsible for killing one of Jax's kids...this is one hell of a shitstorm in the making. Any theories on where the Otto plot is headed? And it looks like Juice's time is just about up.
Prediction: Spoiler Gemma fucks shit up and can't go through with the whole banging Clay thing now that she's met Nero's kid. Jax has no shot at revealing Clay to the club until, seconds away from killing Juice, he's told about Clay's confession and Frankie's last words about the safe. Juice is spared, Jax finds the documents, Clay meets "Mr. Mayhem" What the fuck moment: Spoiler Tara giving herself the ol' taco handshake with the perfume on. I'm not the most empathetic person out there, but I just can't come up with the motivation there. "oh ya, I'm so turned from making out with my husband. Better flick the bean while thinking about the creepy inmate who just touched his boner and cried while I rubbed his hair"
Well...shit. Spoiler I am entirely confused about the Juice storyline. Chibs, Bobby, and Jax all agreed at the table to sit on their knowledge of Juice's betrayal until after Clay was ousted and the dust had settled. But then, Juice visits Jax at home and they made that deal. And if Juice goes through with his side of the deal, he gets immunity. So why did Jax lie about talking with Juice to Chibs and Bobby afterwards? Is he only pretending to give Juice immunity, but will still follow through on taking Juice to the table after Clay's gone? Or is he hiding more shit from Bobby? So, so confused. Also, bad move on killing the cousin of the Grim Bastard. That was actually stupid. He should've stuck with a severe ass beating and left it at that. For me, this is the first time I've seen Jax make a legitimately bad decision. Tara's storyline: HOLY SHIT. She's fucked. I see absolutely no way she can get herself out of this. Even if Jax can find a way to kill Otto on the inside to prevent him from talking about Tara's involvement in the nurse slaughter, there will still be an investigation into the crucifix. Her only hope (and it's a long shot) is to claim Otto stole it from her bag or her pocket or something while she was busy preparing his chart. I still don't even know if that would work based on her involvement with the club. Damn, girl. And she just got that awesome job offer, too. 90 minutes next week, too.
Spoiler Shit while I love the show nothing is a "long shot", multiple times through out the seasons they have been involved in running gun battles during the day with no police response. They killed the prison guard and his wife right after they were released, and none of the other guards or anyone an administration said hrm I wonder? Otto will have end up hiding the crucifix in his empty eye socket and killed the nurse because of some retarded reason. Like I said I like the show, but reason need not apply. Unless they completely change the previous format I don't see anything happening to Tara Edit disclaimer: I was totally wrong about Louis in the Dexter thread so I probably will be here too.
Even if Juice holds up his end, he's dead. He killed a club member and Jax isn't going to let that slide. I think the bigger question is does Jax or doesn't he turn Tig over to Pope, and if he doesn't, how does he get away with it? Or does he allow Tig to get hit in the crossfire when meting out Clay's just reward? Or does Pope end up dead? As for Tara, I'm betting Jax comes up with some sort of leverage on "the cartel" and uses it to have them make it all go away.
