Out of all the bad shit that this show has shown over the years, the last minute of this episode might be the most disturbing thing I've seen. And that is saying a lot. I understand why he did that and it makes so much sense, but it was just very very dark. Jax has truly crossed over a line that was already very far to the dark side.

This is the first time that I actually look at him as not being any different than Clay. He said to Bobby that the gavel holder needs to do some bad shit but wow. Wendy obviously was threatening his family and that's a stupid move, but this just seemed a little beyond. I'm not sure why this one incident really resonated with me but it just did.

Charlie Hunnam needs an award before this show's run ends. His towing the line between good and evil and how convincing he is easily rivals Walter White in my opinion. Maybe not as great but right up there. Him writing in his journal to his kids and the things he does really shows a level of depth that very few characters on tv exhibit. His character is written and acted beautifully. He can be so charming and nice and sympathetic one moment and a little while later be shown as a true monster.

I'm 10 minutes before the end of the latest episode. Clay just handed Gemma some birth certificates and said, "Here, the originals". And it just hit me in the face. Is Clay Jax's real Dad, rather than his step dad?

edit: Jax just walked into bitch ex wife's room, and ever since he said Tig was gonna escort her, my idea is that he's gonna kill both of them. As soon as he rode away from Clay's cover-over ceremony (weren't the choices supposed to be knife or fire? I remember that from Kosik). The fact that Tig just gave him a weapon already implicated in other murders makes it like a 99% to me

Edit 2: Ok, not a weapon, a syringe. Fuck, Jax, there was your chance. 2 birds, one fucked up stone...

I actually think that Hunnam might be a better actor. Walter White has clearly crossed the line from hero to anti-hero. Jax Teller has played with that line for at least two seasons, and has to do an American accent on top of it.

If you like him as Jax, and you've never seen "Green Street Hooligans", I highly fuckin recommend it.

    OK, fuck, triple post:

From the preview, they lead us to believe he's taking Tig to fake-meet Clay, and then he'll kill him or hand him over to Pope. All of a sudden I believe he's leading him there to kill Pope instead... Next season will be about dealing with the ramifications of that

I know Clay has been calling him son forever, most likely as he's been his father figure and they had that relationship, but that would be a fucked up twist. It would make all the scenes where he tells him to stop calling him son more significant.

They gave Kosik a choice when he left the club originally, he opted to get them covered but couldn't go through with it, then the only options when the club found out were fire or knives.

I didn't see the previews but while watching the episode I was thinking that Tig somehow gets tipped off and hops the the jet with Clay to Ireland, subsequently fucking everything up with Pope.

The more I think about it though Jax is well over the line now so I'll bet he hands him over.

That was the dude in like season 1 and he got the knife or fire choice because he left/was kicked out/whatever and didn't cover over his MC tats. I guess he was supposed to do it on his own(?) and didn't and thus he had them forcibly covered over. Kozik stepped on a landmine and got killed while still a member of the MC.

But doesn't Pope have the 5 million dollar insurance policy paying assassins for killing his murderer? Yeah, dealing with that would be a pretty badass way to open up the next season potentially.

Clay, Gemma and possibly Tig on the jet with the IRA. Blowing up that jet makes a lot of Jax's problems go away.

No shit! It took a good 20 minutes to shake that scene off.

I paused the episode and gently replicated Otto's move on my coffee table to see if it was even possible.

It definitely is, by the way.

My wife stepped out of the room and when she heard me yelling came running back in. I asked her if she wanted me to describe it first and then she could decide if she wanted to watch it. She opted to not watch it.

And I'm getting the feeling that Gemma is going to be the only one left standing when all is said and done. God, what a calculating bitch. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets revealed that killing John was her idea and she pushed Clay into it.

They already alluded to Gemma being very involved in John's death. Clay mentioned I'm pretty sure last season that Jax would kill her if she found out. I also think Tara knows a bit more about this as well.

The good thing about this show is that the truth always seems to come out. It may take a couple seasons, but it comes out.

As bad as Jax has been portrayed late in this season, he did what he did to Wendy for his family. Brutal and messed up, but I can, in a small way, see why he did it. What he did to Clay was brutal, but Clay is directly and indirectly responsible for Opie's wife, Opie, Piney, John Teller, Tig's daughter, etc. etc. etc. His actions and lies have lead to so much destruction. How he went down was more than justified and Bobby's reaction is a little off. He's right that Jax has been going down the path of Clay but his decisions have always been with the best interests of his club and family in mind. Very unlike Clay.

Yeah, it was made apparent that Gemma knew/was in on John's death, but it's been made to seem that it was Clay's idea, but that was never established as fact. But in light of Gemma-events this season, I'm starting to think she was the one who wanted John dead and got Clay to do it. Maybe she found out about John and the chick in Belfast; John wanted to get out of gun-running which was financing a lifestyle she didn't want to give up which would be another motive. After this season, I wouldn't put anything past her.

Just watched the finale and a couple thoughts (fueled by some Jameson, so bear with me.)

-Jax touched Juice the same way Clay did and spoke to him in a similar fashion. More pointing to Jax becoming Clay.

-The big one... I don't think Gemma gave Terra up. The club has never used the police to solve their problems. Only used them towards their advantage. Gemma knows this. Assuming Gemma talked to the police, what's her end game in turning Tara in? Is she going to take the stand and send Tara to jail? Her whole motive is to keep her family. She has to know that she would either be killed, or completely shut out at best if she testified. It seems like a red herring to me.

-Not sure of the significance of Munson cutting off his V.P. badge. He was the last of the "old school" club members as far as I can tell.

    I'm going to bed...

Jax is using Popes 5$ million bounty to end his Clay problem. That's why he set him up. Jax kills Pope and Clay with one move.

Yes, but his arrest keeps him around where he can get killed, otherwise he'd be on a jet to Belfast.

Was last week the season finale?
