I was hoping Netflix would add it to their Stream Instantly collection, which is how I caught up on all of Rescue Me. No luck though.
I'm wondering if they are going to devote a season to getting Jax's son back or solve that problem quickly.
So who would be stupid enough to do a drive bye in a giant van at a Samcro funeral with cops everywhere? Mayans? Nazi's? I love the show and thought that episode was fantastic but sometimes it can be a little much. We have had so many incidents of driving through the town shooting guns and there never seems to be any police, anywhere. Regardless the show is fucking great, great acting from Tara tonight. My hatred for Stahl is at an all time high, can't say I have ever seen a women with that much space from the bottom of her nose to the top of her lip. You could fit an additional mouth in that space. R.I.P Hale, I guess the brother will be added to the top of Samcro's enemy list.
So it looks like Happy and Kozik will be rounding out the Charming chapter now? Sounds good. (I'm going to have a really hard time calling Lem something other than Lem, by the way.) But have we seen these hangers-on (Filthy Pete) they mentioned? Are they supposed to become new prospects?
Wow, last night's episode was good for the first 55 minutes or so. Maybe it was a little slow at time but still good. Then the last 5 minutes came and ho-ly shit. I couldn't believe what just happened. Soon-to-be-new chief Hale was completely trampled. Opie's girl's son was shot. Pandamonium everywhere. I'm so excited for this season it's not even funny; even if it is unrealistic at times. Yes, I'm talking about the chase scene with the bros to the bros' house. Talk about quite the arsenal too. Clay's speech to Jax was pretty sweet too. Pretty much told him "you better fucking do something about this ASAP and not wollow in your own self pity." Awesome.
Did Irish just give Abel to Colleen Pickett, aka Trixie from Deadwood? I hope that will be the end of relationship drama for Tara and Jax. They're together, they can stay together, let it be.
I think it was Opie's son. Remember, he still doesnt know the river rat killed his wife. This was just a vehicle to bring that story back to page 1.
Opie knows who killed his wife. And I just watched it again and considering the lady holding the kid was saying "my baby boy" and wasn't even Lyla (Opie's pornstar girlfriend) I don't think it was Opie's son or even directly connected to SAMCRO. Part of my reasoning in a spoiler, because I'm not sure if everyone is interesting in hearing this bit of knowledge that I picked up on a teaser video: Spoiler The video talked about how Charming starts to turn on SAMCRO a bit this season. It would make sense to use the death of a child that isn't directly linked to SOA through blood to help bring about the souring of the grapes.
I'm not sure if you watch every other show or something but if you recall the this happening: "The club, however, nearly falls when Tig, overcome with guilt, confesses to Opie that he murdered Donna because Agent Stahl and the ATF had made it look as though Opie had become a rat". Then of course Opie beats him senseless. However calling Tig a river rat is pretty funny.
My apologies to Mike Ness for not commenting sooner, but I don't think that was Opie's son. If it were we would have seen something in the snippets about it for the up coming episodes. And how is Jax only in jail for assault? With the beating he gave that drive-by guy I think he'd be in jail, at the very least, for attempted murder. (And quite frankly I don't think anyone could have survived that.) Especially because the ATF has such a hard-on for SAMCRO. I think it'll be an interesting season, but my fear is that the writers are going to dwell too long on the club looking for Abel. I was really hoping that would have been resolved in the first episode and then move on to bigger and better things. Side Note: It's all Hollywood now. Other than the last scene(disregarding the drive-by) where they all assemble at the wake for Half Sack, nothing even remotely resembled club life. That chase scene to the bros house was ridiculous. Fun to watch, but ridiculous.
And it led to Piney taking a nearly point-blank shot at Clay's head, too. Not knowing Opie knows about who killed Donna is a pretty big detail to fuck up.
It's a little hard to swallow the ridiculous protection Unser gives Samcro. I thought he said we can get around the "obstruction" charge? However then Clay mentioned something about assault charges, either way it seems odd how none of them are in prison. (What ever happened to the gun charges when they barged into Zobelle's conference?) Anyway, still a great episode. Every show has an annoying character now and again, welcome Gemma's dad. He shot Tig which was funny but I'm ready for him to be written right of the show. They should kill the nurse and blame it on senile dad. Also would it kill SOA to show a female ass? I have seen enough of Jax's nude backside and now Tig? God forbid we ever see Clay or Piney from that angle I might get sick. I have a question for the board, I'm sure Now Slappy could answer this. Out of all the Sons who has the best bike? I'm thinking Clay or Jax but I can't remember Tig's. Happy has got a sweet chopper as well, I think. Also it looked like the black bikers all rode those big travel bikes, what was up with that?
Aren't they all out on bail for those charges? For some reason, it feels like it's been years since last season...a lot of details are fuzzier for me than they are for other shows.
"Best bike" is really subjective. It all depends on the rider and what they're comfortable with when it comes to motorcycles. Just look at our own motorcycle thread, there are a lot more sport bike riders on here then there are Harley riders. Most of what you see the Sons riding are basically considered "bar-hoppers", good for short rides but you really don't want to be on them for more than a few hundred miles a day. Most of the bikes on the show are Dynas of some sort. My last bike was a Dyna WideGlide so I'm a little biased toward them. My personal opinion, those bikes would be a lot nicer if they ripped those stupid fairings off the headlights and changed out those stock 2 into 1 pipes. I don't know how old you are Mike, but those touring bikes are damn comfortable and when you're old like me that matters. But to answer your question some clubs have, for lack of a better term, "by-laws" that only allow you to have a certain kind of bike.
This show is fucking great. The foreshadowing of Opie's meltdown was a little obvious (I'm also pretty sure Tara is pregnant and she wasn't puking because of a concussion) but they still keep you wondering about Jax's Dad and the whole mystery behind his death, and the man himself. I loved the cameo by Steven King (He actually wrote under the name Richard "Bachman", The Running Man and The Long Walk to name a few) he is always such a terrific creep. I really hope we have seen the last of Nate. I can't point my finger on it but that guy annoys the crap out of me, he constant whining is torture. I realize he is playing a senile old man but I have had enough of his plot line. Tara's change is complete now. She now witnessed a murder of a completely innocent person, watched the person's body disposed of and seems relatively ok with it. I think Jax can put her in the "tell old lady everything" department.
Just got into watching SoA. This show is addicting! I've watched all the episodes in the last two weeks. Two things from last night... 1. If Juice hadn't showed Jax the pic of Cameron he would have banged the porn girl. 2. The IRA guy with the SoA jacket on had a patch that said "First 9". I'm thinking he will have to play a big part in getting Abel back. It will be great to get his back story and find out about the history of SAMCRO in Ireland.
Kurt Sutter posted a piece on his blog about the "founding" of SAMCRO. I'm on my cell phone, and can't link it, but go look it up. You'll like it.
