I can see it getting old fast. I haven't been since they were building New York New York so I know nothing about it anymore. Any type of "Sin City" usually wears out it's welcome with regular visitors who are there for the specific focus eventually. Whether you love Ibiza, Pattaya, Amsterdam, Montreal, Vegas etc. As you get older, so do they. Still, fun the first couple times for most from what I hear. But not never more than that. If I ever go back somebody on here needs to fix me up with a Guy. You know, The Guy Who Can Get Anything.
Party went really well last night, minus my roommate spilling an entire beer in my bed and not telling me till this morning leaving me confused as to why there was a giant wet spot in my sheets as I slept around it all night. That and Parker showing up. Got some solid beach time in today, which also served to remind me how many pretty girls in this city there are and I'm currently having sex with none of them. Bloody hell that needs to change. Now I'm watching my own mini marathon of Skins. For a show about sexually adventurous, drug obsessed teens, its surprisingly heavy. I'm such an anglophile.
Yeah, it's sank in since I went last year for a buddy's bachelor party/wedding. I am going again this year for another buddy's bachelor party and with all the facebook conversation planning Im already getting sick of it. Mainly because the dude that is supposed to be planning it shuns all suggestions or criticisms. I'll probably skip the party they want to go to at the Palms after the bullshit they pulled on me and my buddy last year. We paid 100 bucks a piece to get a table with bottle service(with about 7 or 8 other people). It was fun for a while, the place was packed with young people and we had enough booze. Then on the way out of the bathroom about an hour or so after we got there me and three other random people were herded into the kitchen. Lined up the security looked at us and said "you're all too drunk, you're going to be escorted out." The more we protested the more they told us we were making their case for us. They were just clearing the place out so more people could pay the 30-40 dollar cover. I got a taxi back to my hotel fuming and FAR from drunk. My buddy, the bachelor, called me a half hour later having just been escorted out for the same bullshit reason. Fuck the Palms. All Im really looking forward to is seeing my friend hit the casinos in Vegas for his first time. He is a gambling man. Loves going to the boat casinos. He's not a degenerate or anything but he definitely revels in making high stakes bets. Should be fun to watch. The only other thing Vegas really has going for it is the "everything stays in Vegas" mentality that the people have. It really is like Freshman year of college on steriods and 20 dollar Red Bulls and vodkas. Besides that, it is insanely over priced.
What I got sick of real fast was the Mexicans who flick those escort cards at you every 100 feet on the strip.
Yeah no kidding. When I was there they were doing it in your fucking face and it took all our might to not start swinging at them. When you go to Vegas, go to the Penthouse Club and ask for a stripper named Melissa Magic. You wont be disappointed.
You people with young children have an excuse to go see Brave in theaters. You should take advantage of this.
You sir threw a mighty fine party. There should have been more with a rooftop that nice and well equipped. Either way, my night ended up getting Mr. Gyro's and eating in a Jewel Parking Lot. This weekend was perfect.
I feel good... Really, really good. And it's not just the Vicodin and Merlot talking. I finally made a move on this smokin' hot woman I've known for years, and I was successful. I foresee good things to come.
So I guess the one thing I can take from all this Vegas discussion is that "if you're betting you get free drinks" is a myth. I'll be going in December, and then a friend who originally misses out on that wants to go again in January. I was originally keen to do it twice, but after this conversation I'm not too sure. That might be sensible though, because there are obvious cost issues anyway, and I plan on being in the USA/Canada for 2-3 months.
