I put piercings in the same category. I just don't get it. They say they do it to be individuals. So they fuck up their bodies so that they think they look awesome to themselves and their peers, so that they can be individuals just like everyone else that has fucked up their bodies. I know piercings have sensual effects too, but mostly I see people dooing them for the visual effects, which puts you right back in the same category. Those that do it for the pain feeling... Yall are just out there.
I love a well-done, well-placed tattoo. Unfortunately, it's a lot easier to get it wrong so I'd prefer that women err on the side of caution, but ultimately even a bad tattoo isn't a deal-breaker. I also like piercings on girls. I think it's hard for a dude to pull off piercings, they usually look pretty douchey. Here's some music: I like a song that tells a story, Choctaw Bingo by James McMurtry One of my favorites by The Old 97's, Barrier Reef Something current and not country, Warrior by Kimbra (the girl from that Gotye song)
I'm tired of scouring craigslist for bands that are worth a damn. All I want is a band to find me, and for them to be awesome.
Love McMurtry: ... I just hate tattoos and piercings. I know I'm antiquated, but woo! Quick note for anyone interested: This guy's dad is the author of Lonesome Dove. And buttholes. Woo!
In my defense, it was the plastic spoon for soup and throwaway chopsticks for the rest. I guess neither of those can be called silverware. I think I meant to say "utensils." I was just feeling too passionate for correct word choice.
For the most part tattoos on a girl do not do anything for me. They usually take away from the beauty of the women. Sometimes they are ok but don't add. Once i have seen a tattoo on a women and was like wow that really works well.
Its more than that though to me- Its like they are saings " Hey, I NEED TO ME DIFFERENT! Hey. that picture there looks prettey! Put that on ME! That way I'll be all unique! JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER ASSHOLE WITH PICTURES ALL OVER THEIR BODY!" Beer tastes good! I don't give a damn if syrup goes to a dollar a sop!
Well if everyone is posting music, a majority of which seems like country, then I guess I need to do my duty and post some good jam band tunes, since I'm pretty sure I'm the closest one on the TiB to being a hippie. Keller Williams and String Cheese, I've always really loved this song: Also, one of my all time favorite String Cheese Incident songs: And to round it out, STS9 doing some acoustic shit, which is awesome (not something they usually do). Had to post this one, just because this guy is awesome.
String Cheese is a little too hippy for me with most of there stuff. But this song was one of my all time best Bonnaroo experiences: I was high as a kite and felt like the lord of all creation when I heard it. Always brightens up my day hearing.
Totally with you. I have nothing against tattoos. If that's what you want to do, go for it. Increasingly, the issue is that somehow I'm supposed to feel that having a tattoo automatically translates into me having to find the particular girl 'sexy' because tattoos = sexy. Most of the tattoos on women that I see, and I see a shitload, result in the following thought: Less money on tats, more money on weight watchers. The whole pot culture drives me nuts as well. I do know several people whom smoke on a regular basis, and they don't look and act like their on their way to a Grateful Dead concert 24/7 either. Doesn't change the fact that I think drugs should be decriminalized.
Tattoos...I have a little one on my shoulder that I got when I was 40. It's a cute bee with a crown. Hi, I'm Queen Bee. My comics and staff nicknamed me that years ago when I ran a comedy club. She has long eyelashes and a big smile, just like me. Her name is Buzz. Kids love the name and adults know the real reason. I've been meaning to get Venus de Milo for 6 years. I will, but lazy. On another note, I've had repeated panic attacks all week at work and getting worse. Thank god for borrowing Valium until I find a doctor. Happy note...had the sweetest ever night with my favourite 'buddy' last night. He was adorable and delightful. I live such a weird life and never get the opportunity to do things like walk down the street holding hands and make out against buildings. We even had a late dinner with great food and wine, touch hands, laugh and be romantic. I think I've been doing this all wrong. We are both seeing other people but I like that we are each other's number one. Weird end note... He sleepwalks. Didn't know cause I never stay. I won't go into detail, but he confused his hallway with the toilet.
