Hey hey! Lexington is a nice place and gorgeous in the fall and winter. The people are really nice there. If they had a job market worth anything to me, I'd live there again in a heartbeat.
Unless you deal in second hand opiates and backdoor abortions I don't think Lexington has much to offer
They make the Kentucky Derby to be something prestigious, yet right off the track the TV cameras doesn't show the ocean of trash throwing cans of Keystone at each other. The buildings are nice, though. Across the sea however, they have awesome locals. This guy.....I'm dead. If he was trolling, he'd be a fucking comedic genius:
It's an amazingly fun social event. So many Georgia Peaches in their big hats drinking mint flavoured jet fuel and a few horses. Watching it on TV is incredibly boring.
If you haven't seen it before, you definitely need to read Hunter S. Thompson's article on the Derby. http://grantland.com/features/looking-back-hunter-s-thompson-classic-story-kentucky-derby/
I deeply regret that sun dresses are not a huge, popular thing in the summer around here. It's just not fair, damn it.
zzr's Atlanta meetup isn't exactly taking off, but if you're into beautiful women in little clothing, you need to come to Atlanta. Check on the Battery at the new Braves park this Summer.
Tell me about this "masterpiece" that was "Light Up Atlanta." I've heard of this, and figure you must have went.
I decided to stop drinking during the week on account of how I've been having a numb, tingly feeling in my fingertips for a few weeks. That lasted all of 3 days. I guess I'll revisit this after I close on the new house and don't have to deal with rush-hour traffic on the east side of Columbus.
Western delivers. Everything about that school is nice, really. The original architecture in and around that campus is gothic-gorgeous sandstone. Between them and Fanshawe there's almost 50,000 students in town during school. Yeesh. That is a LOT of people doing push-ups in between drinks.
Nope. No idea what that is. I'm not from Atlanta, and I don't live there now. Just visit every now and then. Georgia is two states: metro Atlanta and everything else. Though all the regions are quite diverse, mostly because of the size of the state. It's pretty spread out and green - largest state East of the Mississippi, you know - mountains, coast, farmland (we're known for peaches and peanuts, but we grow a crap load of pine trees, too), and a crappy MLB team. But. Light Up Atlanta, I don't know. Was that like Freaknik?
I'm a couple hours out from leaving for an Alaskan cruise, the cruise doesn't leave until Sunday but I'm heading out early. I learned my lesson on travel when I got stuck in San Francisco during the Delta debacle. If all of you would be so kind as to say a prayer for my liver it might help considering I have the ultimate beverage pkg. I'm super excited and now that I've finished payroll for next week I cannot concentrate. Would it be bad form to start drinking before I leave for the airport? Have a great weekend!!
What are you ports of call in Canada? Most Alaska cruises go from Vancouver up to Alaska and back down.
We're leaving from Seattle and only hit Victoria on the way back. I want to say we hit Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, and then Victoria as the last stop.
Kentucky has bourbon distilleries. Also, back when my dad was stationed at Ft. Campbell, we'd go to Land Between the Lakes and Mammoth Cave. Those were cool. But anyway, bourbon.
