I was landing in Denver once on a flight from San Diego. Behind me was a Muslim women, apparently she was afraid of turbulence which is common when landing in Denver. As we were descending she starting praying in Arabic....I was not super comfortable then.

The neighborhood is odd because you'd think they'd have built the subdivision with a better eye for view because value.
    But they didn't.
Cell phone pics can be awful, but man. Bulldozer.

My Aunt and Uncle bought 10 acres in Jackson Hole behind their house so that no one could ever build and block their view of the Tetons. God I wish I had that kind of money.

I see you've never met a developer then. They only care about maximizing land usage and getting their construction cost as low as they can. They are not forward thinkers.

Option a) Get permit. Build tower with spiral staircase. Add coffee-sipping balcony.
Option b) Buy used bucket truck or scissor lift at auction. Park it outside back door.

    Rainiers in terms of importance

    Mount > Wolfcastle > Beer > Rainiers

Rainer last erupted in 1898. I live up on top of a hill, so I don't have much to worry about, but apparently according to this shimmered better get a damn big push broom when it does.

There was a house back home in Idaho that was built with the front all windows....3 stories worth....to take advantage of their beautiful lake view. Within 2 years some asshole built a huge warehouse/garage structure on the lot right between them and their view. Now they have a gorgeous 3 story view of a yellow green metal garage.

Duke suspends Grayson Allen for tripping. From the article:

So, to recap, this guy plays for Duke, gets T'd up for a dirty play, pouts about it on the bench, then gets suspended for it because it's his 3rd time already this year he's tripped another player. And he makes faces like this:

This has to be some record for concentrated douchebaggery, right? Is there any doubt whatsoever that he's been coddled and spoiled his entire life?

My sister and BILs flight got cancelled, meaning one more day I get to spend how I want to here without having to adjust to their uptight, we're right you're wrong, lifestyle.

Yes, I am sad their flight got cancelled and they had to reschedule. So sad I feel bit relieved.

    Thanks for the uplifting news.

I'm less worried about rainier than I was about some kind of attack on the DMV when I lived there.

This area is very pretty...so far no regrets about being here.

Tethered hot air balloon on the roof. Climb into the basket with your morning coffee, reel it out, enjoy the unobstructed view.

Slightly related to the house with a view topic, it has been my recent ex's dream to live on a lot of land, a dream which couldn't be fulfilled while we were married due to constraints on where I could live (custody-related). He just bought a place in SC that has a lot of land and is in bum-fuck egypt. I am happy for him, and I am also happy that I won't be living in bum-fuck egypt.
