Woof. A few beers while watching LeBron stick it to the people of Cleveland again turned into 9 beers, average 7-8% ABV. I learned I can not drunkenly open a pry off bottle with a lighter or my bare, now cut up, hands. Should probably not get drunk on a school night.
That said, it's Friday. I believe it's gonna be a Maker's 46 kinda night.

I noticed, about halfway through the shit that I hadn't read yet that I was looking at NSFW stuff. It explained why half my work center was crowded around my computer screen eagerly awaiting mor .gifs...

 

Oh yeah, I agree with you. My statement wasn't so much of a "You shouldn't have said NSFW for the whole thread" as much as it was a "I wish I could browse this thread while at work worry free". Of course I am at work right now and I'm still reading and posting to the thread so I guess it really doesn't matter.

On another note, fucking pencil skirts. A pencil skirt (assuming that I'm calling it the right thing) on a girl with a good body is one of my biggest weaknesses. I was just leaving the restaurant I had lunch at and this woman got out of her car with a really tight pencil skirt with a zipper all the way down the back, and really tall black heels. I couldn't help it, I stared shamelessly.

 

Despite having an early start tomorrow, I have decreed life to be sufficiently shite that the only way to fix things is to drown my brain in alcohol. I feel this plan has legs.

 

Well, looks like my weekend is going to blow goats. The GF is staying in Boston, the only friends that are going to be around this weekend are going to the casino tonight (fuck that) and will be busy tomorrow night. I guess for the first weekend in god knows how long I'll be alone getting drunk on scotch and homemade beer and playing video games... actually this sounds like an awesome weekend, yay me.

This will also be the last weekend I spend in my apartment before the GF moves in, I guess I should savor that too, but I am just so sick of this distance bullshit that I just want it to be over.

Jesus, where to start. I am really not where I want to be. I stupidly decided to do a second master's degree parallel to my first one and it sucks donkey dick. Surrounded by vapid people whose sole goal in life is to maximise their earnings. It fucking breaks me inside to hear 23-27 year olds sound like 50 year old people. They are unable to formulate any critical argument, have any critical thoughts or dare challenge things. I mean, what more than of a big fucking crisis do you need to realise something has to change? No? You'll just integrate yourself into the system & work yourself to death trying to get rich from it. It disgusts me that they have very little other interests in life - they are your typical McKinsey/I-Bank people. Not that there's anything wrong with that, you have ambition and drive and I suppose there are worse attitudes to life. But hey, where's the content? Seriously, you're content with having a trophy wife, more money than you know what to do with? The price? 100 hour workweeks and a heart attack at 45? Oh, I see, you'll have all the fun when you retire...

I realize that not all I-Bank/Consulting etc. people are like this and I respect their choices, but I realized on a really fundamental level that it's not for me at all.

My booze supply is running low so I'm going to have to stop by the liquor store on the way home. I've heard a lot of good things about Hendrick's gin so I think I'll pick some up. I welcome any other recommendations for interesting hooch.

Every time I start reading that site I end up getting really drunk, usually by myself (not necessarily a bad thing).
