    Streets of Fire!

Diane Lane as a singer in a rock band. Rick Moranis as her manager/boyfriend. Willem Dafoe as a badass leather clad biker. A sledgerhammer duel between hero and villain at the film's climax. Songs penned by Jim Steinman (of Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler fame).

Better question - why aren't you watching it right now?

Don't watch one. Get your friend from last years NYE who likes to eat it and make one; then let us watch that.

    Smartass remarks? On TiB?

    I've misjudged this place completely.

Oh well, since I posted one 80s song, I'll maintain the trend.

Actually, I really enjoy Streets of Fire.

And you forgot Michael Pare kicking ass as the ex-boyfriend who goes in and saves the dumb bitch. It's like The Warriors, The Musical.

I like the rusty blade, suggests that she is up to date on her tetanus shots. That's hot.

That movie is pure style. It's like a live-action comic book with some of the most comically hard-boiled characters this side of Marlowe. Rick Moranis plays one of the most insufferable little shits in history, and even young Willem Dafoe still was a boney, ghoulish creep that looked like death warmed over. The scene where Pare punches out his girlfriend (Diane Lane) in a romantic way is nothing short of cinematic folklore. An amazing film.

The next person I see crash into something (or someone) while walking at the mall because they're texting on their stupid phone I swear to God I'm going to follow them home and take the tire mounts of their goddamn car. When will you stop? When you snowplough a 4-year-old into a steel bench? Because I saw that yesterday. Kiss my black ass.

Ahh... but one of the best movies of the 80's, hands down.

To Live And Die in LA.

The car chase scene is epic, and legendary.

    And Wang. Fucking. Chung.

No movie captured the pure, diabolical sleaze that was the 1980's like that film. "Good Guys" that were every bit as corrupt and unlikable as the villains (again, Willem Dafoe being creepy. I'm freaking out!). Willam Petersen plays the stupidest Secret Service agent in human history who survives the awesome car chase Nett posted and then
gets his brains blown out with a shotgun, leaving his patsy sidekick with the creepy male-patterned baldness (John Pankow) to deal with the baddie and kill him. How's THAT for predictability?
...I remember as a little kid (I was probably seven or eight) watching that film with my folks at home for the first time. When Petersen's partner gets his brain pan wasted by a point-blank shotgun blast I lost my shit completely. I was so graphic and horrifying to me, it refused to watch the film again for years.

    Man... shitty.

Bobby Farrell, front man of Bony M, died.

He was a funky son of a bitch, that's for sure.

    And Canadian, I might add.

Just watch this video for some fucking awesomeness. And be sure to watch the people in the audience. Seriously white people who have no idea what the fuck is going on.

    Hilarious.

Can someone please explain to me the attraction of weed? I have never smoked it either, but from what I've seen, everyone who does smoke just sits around either playing video games or watching people play video games all day. I even went to a huge college where half the population smoked, and none of them seemed fun to me. I like to go out and get fucked up, not sit inside and play Halo all night.
