    Call me crazy, but Rogan is the best MMA commentator around, next to Bas.

    He's got the background and skill to talk intelligently about what's going on, and the balls to say what he wants.

    Talk to some fighters, and they'll say he's not too bad a fighter himself.

    No shit, the guy knows exactly what he's talking about. Goldberg, on the other hand is an annoying dipshit, in my opinion.

    Anyone remember the really old UFC with a guy named Jeff Osborne doing the commentary? You'll be glad Rogan is there now. Jeff is a really nice guy, runs a local 3rd tier league that a ton of UFC and WEC guys came through and is the guy that basically started professional women's MMA. But damn, he wasn't good at the commentary.

    Rogan's flaw is that he is paired with Goldberg, who is a sell-out. His ability to analyze jiu-jitsu on the fly is impressive. Although I'm pretty sure he had a pile of happy tissues next to him after Sotiropolous v. Stevenson/ every Maia fight

    Earlier today I watched UFC 1 & 2.

    It was hilarious. Jim Brown was a commentator.

    Just watching them commentate the first Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock fight was beyond painful. And yet funny as hell.

    We've come a long, long way since then.

    I'm not big on Rogan's stand-up (I also enjoy how he hates Mencia) but it's true about UFC. He does know his shit.

    I enjoy Rogans comedy, and his podcast. I don't necessarily agree with him on a lot of his theories, tinfoil hat or otherwise, but he's entertaining as hell and smart.

    He really shines when dealing with hecklers. He's like Kevin Smith in that regard.

    There's a torrent of UFC 1-10 floating around. Well worth the effort to snatch it.

    Both insanity in the ring, and cheesy production values. Awesome party fodder. I'm in the process of editing them into an AVI of just the good parts for next weekend.

    The working title is Pure Awesomeness.
