If Jimmy keeps playing the way he's playing...wow. Nate Robinson LOVES playing the Heat. His girl must have said something to one of her friends about LeBron being kinda cute or something. Don't know what it is with him. Marco Belinelli doesn't gives no fucks than I do about his 15k fine for this.
Holy shit, I've never seen somebody jump back on a bandwagon so quickly. Seriously, if you publicly write your team off 8 hours before the game, you can't turn around and gloat when they win. The idea of "reverse jinxing" is hindsight bullshit and you know it.
I was under the impression that they didn't let him do a lot in the way of interviews because he struggles to string words together without sounding like a borderline retard. There's a reason Adidas doesn't give him many lines in the commercials.
Between game 6 of the Denver series and tonight's game I wonder how much the alcoholism rate's gone up in the Bay area.
Look, great win, very exciting. Bigger issue is the Heat when playing good teams (2012 OKC, 2011 Bulls) drop the first game. First of all, I WANT the Chicago Bulls to win. Just my knowledge of basketball says otherwise. Huge difference. I want the Heat to lose, I want the Bulls to win, but really now. I wear this hat to games and at home. I want to make sure this isn't deja vu.
I watched the highlights of the Knicks/Pacers game and I saw CarMElo pass not once but TWICE, so I figured I dont have long for this world....
He had 3 assists! The world is ending. On the other side of the east, they're saying LBJ passed too much and will be guarding Nate Robinson. This will be hilarious. As a Bulls fan I have to write an official letter of apology to Nate Robinson. I definitely thought he was going to be more of a hot head and fuck the Bulls more than help. I refused to believe he was even on our team for two months. Now he has become the focus of LeBron James' defensive efforts. It still is a "Live by the Nate, Die by the Nate" dichotomy, but the Bulls have been living more.
Also, after discussing it with Bulls fans, we all expect it to be call city on the Bulls. Boozer and Noah will have 4 fouls combined before 7 minutes left in the 1st quarter.
One thing that surprised me about the streak-busting game was Boozer's apparrent inability to post up Shane Battier down the stretch.
For all you east coast basketball fans, may I point out the Golden State Warriors have beaten the Spurs and now have the home advantage on the best home court in the NBA? Yep that is correct.
Except any team that coughs up a 16 point lead in the last four minutes of the game can't really be trusted regardless of the playing location.
That Heat/Bulls game was borderline unwatchable. The refs started more problems than they solved and ruined the game. They didnt influence the score to that extreme, Robinson & Butler missing shots & the Heat rebounding better and taking the ball to the rim did that. Steve Kerr wasnt helping either. Gibson walked before he was fouled and the shot that was blocked by Anderson was not "obviously a goaltend." To cry about those calls when youre down 30+ points is useless. There was bad calls on both sides, probably more against the Bulls, but it was equally mismanaged on both ends by the refs. And somebody please show these guys video of the old Pistons/Knicks/Bulls/Celtics playoff games. No woofing. No hard fouls 30' from the rim on a screen. Just hard playoff fouls. No layups. I swear to the baby Jesus, if somebody on the Heat doesnt dump Nate Robinson on his little Webster ass the next time he goes in for a layup, I will run on the court and show them how it's done.
Gator, I actually disagree about the calls. As long as they were calling shit on both sides, and its consistent I'm good with it. Wait, I completely missed something while watching the game. Can someone please inform me if it is playoff basketball or not. I have no idea if it is and no one is reminding me this is playoff basketball. I think Pat Riley came down from his Golden Throne composed of melted Larry O'Brien trophies and told the Heat that they cannot get punked this game. He gave Birdman the nod and told the team something like "This is the team that emasculated you guys and ended your streak. Then they came in and stomped all over your white couches with muddy boots. You going to let them do that again? FUCK THEIR COUCH!" And what are you complaining about? They dumped Nate on his ass early, he went flying into the camera crew on the floor. How are you bothered by that at all? Also its official, I'm unable to watch TNT for two reasons. First one is they do not know how to fucking show the replay of the big play that just happened. LBJ goes in for a buzzer beater lay-up, goes to commercial with no fucking replay! What the fuck? They did this in the first round, as well, a huge dunk or play happens, takes them until after the commercial and after the next halftime to go back and look at it. Fucking retarded. My other issue is Steve Kerr/the fact our local CSN team is so excellently biased. Steve Kerr sounds like he was on every NBA team that lost to the Bulls in the finals, instead of having 3 rings from them. WHAT THE FUCK STEVE KERR?!? Our local CSN team with Stacey King & Neil Funk at so good at being un-ridiculously biased to the Bull (but still very baised) s makes it almost impossible to watch ESPN or TNT because they're so fair to both sides. Well with Steve Kerr, unfair.
I'm just excited that we have four 1-1 series. A round without any team completey trouncing the other would be fun. Not sure what best home court in te league means, though. Best record? That's be Denver. Lowdest/most enthusiastic? Utah. Biggest crowd? Chicago. Most history? Probably MSG, or Boston/LA if you're willing to combine stadium histories. Oh well, at least the kid believes in his team, nice to see in an underdog.
That place looks absolutely bonkers on TV. I don't know if it's how the stands are laid out in relation to the floor or what, but it looks like the uniformed t-shirt wearing of OKC with an extra dose of wild and crazy. Looks like a student section at times.
Deng & Hinrich both out tonight. Does Rose come back? Some Bulls fan called on the radio last night and said he doesnt want to see Rose back because it will "cut into Nate Robinson's playing time". Ok.
