It's really unlikely that the Pacers capitalize on Bosh's absence. They might get another win out of it, but that's likely it. Still, Lebron/Wade have to run out of gas sometime(right?). Still REALLY looking forward to Spurs-Thunder.
Dude...dude...Oh I KNOW that is exactly the case. But I want him to fail, and I want him to fail badly. I want the Pacers to beat them, that would be the biggest disappointment in the history of the NBA this year. Their road could not be any easier if they don't do it now, when? Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind watching the two geriatric teams slug it out if the young guns didn't make it out.
Yeah, in the 4th quarter of game #2 round #2. I dont understand Spoelstra. He sits Lebron in the 1st half for 5 straight minutes and then never again. And that last play sucked sweaty goat cock. Put aside the whole "The MVP should take the last shot", I dont mind Chalmers taking the last shot. Shit, the whole team was what 1-23 from the 3pt line so it didnt really matter. But if your theory is that Chalmers will me more wide open than James or Wade, can you setup a fucking play that gets him open? 8 seconds is more than enough time to work up something that doesnt resemble a monkey fucking a football. And lastly, hey coach Spo...the Heat were nice enough to get Kate Upton in the front Front row, can you please sit the fuck down so I can stare at her tits on the inbounds & timeouts? Is that too much to ask?
Heh, for some reason I found this quote from a sportswriter to be hysterical. Grab your popcorn, gentlemen, this is going to be fun.
I don't know why he didn't put Wade back in during the last 6 minutes of the third quarter. I get that you want to give him a break, but as soon as Wade came out Indiana went on a tear that just didn't stop. Lebron looked completely lost out there by himself. Even at their worst, I don't remember the Cavs putting him on the court with such an offensively inept lineup.
Holy shit. That is basketball. Fuck college. Nothing gets better than the NBA playoffs with some shit like this.
So the Lakers coach drew up a play (albeit a shitty one) for Kobe to take the last shot, then said he was "wide open" and Artest shoulda passed to him and yet Blake missed the last shot. So using the Lebron Theory, is Kobe a pussy or a choker? Kobe shoulda inbounded it to himself and chucked up a shot against 2 or 3 defenders.
I remember reading something years ago about Phil Jackson's visit to his doctor. His doctor came up to him and said "We're naming your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing." The look on Kobe's face last night when he realized he wasn't taking the game winning/losing shot reminded me of that quote.
Quit your crying. Mike Brown drew up a shitty play, Artest made the best basketball play her could passing to the only person. Tim Legler commented this morning that Kobe moving away from the ball was the biggest mistake. But how Blake isn't being thrown under the bus is ridiculous, that's his shot, in his spot, wide fucking open, and it was ugly as soon as it left his hand.
I am just trying to find out where the line is. What Lebron could do to satisfy people. If the coach draws that play up for Blake, and Kobe walks out onto the floor, grabs the ball and chucks one up, then that's OK? If LBJ hits the last shot to tie or win, people are gonna say "well, it was at home and it was only the Pacers". Same thing is he misses. Just looking for consistency.
There is no consistency, of course. And what's funny is that people are criticizing LeBron for being a good teammate and getting other players on his team involved, like a certain Magic Johnson used to do. (Interesting because many people wondered whether LeBron would go the Magic or the Jordan route when he first entered the league) Meanwhile, people praise Kobe for being a selfish ball-hog who jacks up and misses crunch-time shots at a rate slightly better than league average, but worse than LeBron.
The line is "when he has 5 rings on his finger." That's the line. Its when people feel like there is "ice running through his veins." It's when people see he wants to be the best player, that he's reaching for "as good as/better than Jordan." You people have to stop rationalizing LeBron arguments with stats, it is not about stats with him anymore. How is Kobe still the "stone cold closer", but he's 0-7 since 2007 in regards to game tying/go-ahead playoff shots in the last 10 seconds of 4th quarters? During that 4th quarter against the Pacers when they lost. Wade look angry and LeBron looked lost. He understandably, had this look like "Where the fuck is my help? Why isn't Wade in the game?" A Kobe or Jordan of his age would have had a "Fuck this, I'm winning no what" look on his face. "But LeBron isn't Kobe/Jordan, we need to stop expecting him to do that." Cool, if we do that, then we're watching great talent wasted. He's the best player in the league and doesn't play like it. Who the fuck can stop him? Oh right, no one. He should play like it. tldr: Fuck LeBron.
Who mentioned stats? And you start out by saying its because Kobe has 5 rings but then you give stats on his failures... That wasnt lost, that was exhausted. He needed to rest. Wade looked better because he doesnt play half the defense Lebron does, and he had some time on the bench. You still didnt answer my question. When his coach draws up a play NOT for him, does he pull a Jimmy Chitwood and demand the ball in the huddle? Does he wait til they leave the huddle, gather the 5 in the game and say "Fuck him...give me the ball", or does he jsut not say anything, freelance on his own and force up a bad shot because he's the best player in the world? It's beyond "damned if he does/damned if he doesn't".
He demands the ball. No one is going to throw LeBron under the bus if he's the best player in the league and he demands the ball. They would jump on Spoels, and he'd get run over. *Puts on Stephen A. Smith Mask" "Eric Spoelstra! Are you kidding me? Your best player just won MVP and you don't draw the closing play up for him? When LeBron is your best player, and he demands the ball, you draw a play for him to get the ball! Are you serious Eric Spoelstra? Even Skip Bayless would agree with me!"
I agree. I am not saying Lebron doesnt lack that killer gene that MJ and Kobe have. Then again, they werent showing Jordan or Kobe's HS games on ESPN at primetime. Lebron has been the best since he was about 12. Best in his neighborhood, best in the rec league, best in the schools, best in the state. He was NBA ready at 15. He never had to kill. Most of his opponents lied down and died before he even got there. Spo needs to get him more rest and they need to give him the ball at crunch time. Enough Wade already.
