I know. There was no Google either. You had to sneak into the locker room if you wanted to peek at strange NBA cock. You kids today have it so easy!
You just had to resort to that didn't you? I smell fear, looks like the Heat have a huge problem on their hands. Everyone is expecting them to lose tonight.
I just threw that out there randomly. Dont blame me for your guilty cockscience. I cant believe the amount of overreaction locally to them losing 1 game. If the Heat dont get something out of their bench, they are in real trouble. Tuiriaf and Chalmers need to relax and stop with the stupid fouls. And somebody needs to start hitting some 3 pointers. It might be time to bust out the secret weapon. Somebody break out the Nan, cuz I think theres gonna be some Curry up in here!
Incidentally, I can't fucking stand Stephen A. Smith. I consider him to be the Glenn Beck of sports. I remember him at the start of the season, saying something like this(paraphrased because I can't find the article in all my bookmarks): "Mark my words, Kobe is NOT happy that Odom was traded. Not happy AT ALL. My inside sources say Kobe is going to demand a trade. Mark my words, Kobe will DEMAND a trade!" Completely ignoring the fact that a) Kobe has a no trade clause in his contract(as does Dirk), and b) exactly where the fuck would he go? Were they really playing Lebron's high school games on ESPN live? Wow. Between me avoiding those hacks at ESPN like the plague, and my hatred of college sports I usually have no idea what pro athletes were doing before they were pro(This also leads me to get extremely confused during draft time*). That's insane. Who would want to watch a high school game unless a family member was in it? That's fuckin--Ah, dammit, I don't understand the world anymore. *Like in football: I knew Luck was going first, RG3 second, and after that I had no idea who anyone was. I still don't know if my team did good or bad in the draft.
No offense, but isn't overreaction kind of par for the course with Miami? Similar to LA and NY(although admittedly the Lakers have a LOT more to worry about than the Heat).
You really should read this article. It does a good job of exposing a lot of fallacies that people have about both Bryant at the end of games as well as crunch time play in general. It's the national news media that overreacts (as they do to everything nowadays), not the teams or players themselves.
Random article time! I ran into this: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.celticsblog.com/2012/5/17/3027133/duncan-hates-kg-but-we-should-appreciate-both-of-them" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.celticsblog.com/2012/5/17/30 ... th-of-them</a> Which then led me to this gem: <a class="postlink" href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1198491/1/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm</a> I've always liked Tim Duncan, despite not giving a shit about the Spurs in general. The fact that we're just finding out he hates KG 15 years into his career is one of the many reasons why. Edit: Does anyone know the last time(if ever) there was a Conference Finals with two undefeated playoff teams?
True, but I was referring more to the markets of those cities. You always hear of the "bright spotlight" of NY/LA, regardless of the sport(except maybe hockey, I wouldn't know since I don't watch it). But I guess you can attribute that to national media as well.
Does anyone on here know of any pirate websites I can watch playoff games on? I don't have cable, so unless its on TNT/ABC, I can't watch anything.
That's par for the course for any local market, though. You should see the way Jazz fans idiotically overreact to every small thing. Most NBA fans, regardless of city, are like this.
Gator? Paging Gator? For some odd reason I cannot access the internet or read anyone else's post. Can you please tell me the score of Game 3, Pacers v Heat? Thank you.
This is the best thing ever. I hate listening to sports radio every morning talking about how they're going to handle the West winner in the finals. Fuck the Heat bandwagon. Schadenfreude is great.
Indiana is a terrific team and I couldn't be happier for their players, who are a likable young bunch that always plays with everything they have. Sadly, the idiot news articles will focus on how much the Heat suck, rather than what an inspired, outstanding performance the Pacers have shown throughout. Negativity and blame always attracts more attention, even though it couldn't be more inappropriate here.
I think there is something more to Wade then meets the eye. This wasn't just a bad game, it was by far the worst of his playoff career. From what I've seen(which admittedly is just clips I could find), it looked like he didnt know what he was doing. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was some injury he's keeping quiet about(maybe not something potentially serious, but something hampering his play). Could you imagine how motivated the Pacers would get if they found out that two of the "big three" are injured? Again, this is all just a hunch. I have no evidence/reports/articles to back it up.
^^^ Hey, I was right! <a class="postlink" href="http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/18/dwyane-wades-leg-injury-back-thats-just-one-of-his-problems/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... -problems/</a>
