Bulls trade Rose to the Knicks. If only Parker were still around to properly eulogize Rose's Bulls career.
I don't really understand how that trade helps either team. Maybe the Bulls are super high on Jerian Grant.
For the Knicks, guessing some combination of the following: 1. Allowing Porzingis to move to center full time. 2. Getting out of Lopez's contract, though it wasn't that terrible. 3. Hoping Rose, the further away he gets from his injuries, returns to some approximation of the player he used to be. Only thing I can think for the Bulls is that they want to move Gasol or Noah. But other than that I don't know what they're getting out of that trade.
Spurs once again pull lottery talent out of the end of the first round. Still not sure what to make of the Ibaka trade. DRose trade has me laughing pretty hard, typical knicks move (all style no substance). Not sure which part of the draft was more funny: Celtics pulling a Hinkie, or the Knicks drafting like 5 centers.
Welp, the floodgates have officially opened: Mike Conley signed by the Grizzlies for 5 years, $153 million So as of 7/1/16 the man to sign the richest contract in NBA history is a 9-year vet who's never even been selected to an all-star game.
Anyone want to talk about what their favorite team has done to improve this off season? San Antonio fans?
Tim Duncan retires. It is a sad day in SA, but the man deserves his rest. The city will be forever grateful for everything he did for us. He goes out in the most perfect TD-way, too. No grand farewell, no retirement tour...just retires.
