Yeah, I think I can do that here, too. Once the 30 days passes, I'm going to try that, just to see if it's anyone's name.
I certainly thought there might be some kind of scam, but he paid me cash, so I dunno. He didn't seem like a criminal or scammer, and I didn't get any bad vibes at all. I wish no ill will on him. I'll update next week, lol.
Anyone check out the new F150 lightning? I dont like that they used the lightning name but man they knocked it out of the park with this one. Would of liked a bit more range but god dam. I looks like a normal pickup not some goofy ask EV.
But can it drive diagonally?! Ford knows what they're doing, for sure. It's only a little bit more than the similar gas-powered version, and if you get that $7500 tax credit, it's even less. The GMC Hummer EV is pretty badass, but at +$100k, they're just not working in the same market. The 10,000lbs tow on the upper model is great for home users. But I would love to see a HD pickup that can work in industry that can tow 20 to 30 thousand pounds.
And have a decent range. We put extra tanks in our trucks because it's not always convenient to stop and in some rural areas it's hard to find a decent sized station with diesel. Fully fueled I can go almost 1000 miles without refueling. It's not necessary to have that much range but with just the factory tanks we had to stop every 150-200 miles for fuel. That isn't reasonable either. I would think 500 miles would be ok and until they can get that kind of range at full load it's kind of worthless. You only need a 30min break after 6 hours and before 8 if you're running a log so you'd need to be able to run a good distance before this would be worth anything. I like the idea though, the electric torque would be awesome for hauling trailers.
I could see buying my first ever Ford truck in a few years. I like how it doesn't look all dumb and shit. And 0-60 in the mid 4's?! Hot damn!
Being a life-long Ford truck fan/ owner, I'm really glad to see Ford beat Tesla to the punch on this. However, I also don't like how they bastardized the Lightning nameplate. Pro tip: It's "Cummins." "Cummings" is what happens at a bukkake party.
Given that they've bastardized the Mustang badge too, how long before they come out with some Escort like mini electric and call it a GT40?
I agree that the Mustang badge has been bastardized to a degree. I had the opportunity to spend some time and ride in one of the new electric Mustangs thanks to a client that bought one. It is the real deal and a very nice electric auto. Unlike a Tesla, I felt like I was riding in an auto, not like a Tesla which I liken to riding inside a cell phone.
I really want to like tesla but I can't. Amazing range amazing performance but for the price you aren't getting anywhere near the interior quality that you would from a similar priced German car, plus I like buttons and dials from certain functions. The build quality isn't there, bumpers falling off because it wasn't built right, door gaps all off, sorry not for the price they are charging.
Once again I'm telling myself I'm going to resurrect my Fiero - at least enough that I can put it up for sale as a running car. Current problem is that it doesn't like to idle; as long as she's moving she's fine but as soon as I pull to a stop she likes to die. I already replaced the idle air-control valve which didn't help, now I just ordered a new TPS. Hopefully that fixes the problem so I can move on to its other issues.
Depends on how spendy you feel like being. Kent-Moore J-35616-F Terminal Probe Kit That’s pretty pricey but the only reason I have it is from working at GM dealers. Fluke makes a nice set, again kinda pricey. Amazon has some less expensive options.
