Why I now pay other people to work on my car: The Post I'm to old and my back is to messed up to even consider doing something like that anymore. I changed the plugs in my '66 Impala and walked crooked for a week, and that was about a dozen years ago.
The way I handle those is I disconnect the lower motor mount and push the engine forward with a prybar. It took me awhile to figure it out, but now that I know it, it's not too bad.
My parents had a 94 Taurus with a 3.4L the back 3 plugs where a fucking bitch to change you always came out with blood on your arm from jamming it in against the fire wall. I am sure if you did the same thing tilt the engine forward it would of been nice. edit: 3.8L thanks dixie
Just went on a 3 hour rip around the area, to the lake and back, back country roads… holy shit was it ever fun. This thing is a beast! Mom came with me… and she gets it. Showed her the 0-60 in 4s launch, WOT twin turbo passing power, and emergency braking capabilities… she loved it. All she asked was that as we were pulling down the court back home “make the exhaust rumble”… so, sport exhaust engaged, first gear… it was a hell of a loud noise. The neighbours looked. Mission accomplished!
Even though it's older, I really like my Cayenne. The added bonus of being able to haul 8,000lbs with it is no joke. It's kind of nice being the Porsche red-headed stepchild. Not sure why people don't like the Cayenne except for snobby Porsche reasons, but I think for the price on the used market there aren't many other cars with the mix of luxury and being able to haul ass.
Anyone have a Tesla? I'm paying Taco-truck off sooner rather than later, and want something that is: -fast -low maintenance -fun to drive For about $40k, I'm curious if anyone has seen direct evidence of the build problems, or issues that the media seems to gloat about.
I drove a panamera to the liquor store a few years ago. Wearing an American flag swimsuit and a cutoff tshirt. The looks I got were fucking priceless.
I read that a lot about Tesla. Also the biggest complaint i hear is that the interior quality is no where near what it is in a similar priced german car.
I have a couple friends who don't have any quality issues, but they really hate the repair process. Repairs (like a dinged passenger side mirror) can take weeks and have to all go through the repair centre, that kind of thing.
On our weekend trip we took my dads bosses 2019 F350 Lariat diesel. God dam that is a nice truck. Haven't driven in any newer diesel trucks but wow that thing was amazing. So smooth, no engine nose, only pulling 7k but didn't even hear the thing going up steep hills.

My uncle-in-law hired me for a gig yesterday, and before I started we were hanging out in his garage. So I figured you guys would enjoy this. Well, at least Dixie. Sorry for the shitty angle, there wasn’t much room. It’s a ‘77 with the high performance package, so he told me. And my mother-in-law said he bought it when she graduated high school, and that was ‘77.
