Yep, but I would see if Bridgestone has a warranty or a recall on this model of tire. If the vehicle is AWD or even 4WD, make sure the difference in a new tire and the three older ones are within tolerances for the vehicle's drivetrain. My wife has an AWD car, she punctured a sidewall, had to buy all 4 because the difference was too great.
Ahh, my bad... I thought it was so obvious that you were joking, hence my flippant reply. Apologies. Whenever I see any part of the tire start to separate from another part of the tire, especially on the sidewall like that, where it flexes constantly, I 100% would replace it every time.
Not sure if y'all are in the know... but be aware that winter tires are coming up REALLY scarce this year. Friend is buying the last few of major tires in the National warehouses... and I've been waiting 6+ weeks for winter tires for the new 3500. My winter wheels/tires for the Cayenne just shipped, after ordering it 2 months ago. You probably want to really think ahead if you need tires this year.
isnt Lego the largest tire manufacturer? Maybe people just got bored during quarantine and took all the good shit
To add onto this, start expecting a lot of weird parts shortages. One of my friends is the commercial accounts manager at O'Reilly Auto parts, and he told me that he got a memo from the corporate headquarters that water pumps for 4.8/5.3 Silverados are going on indefinite backorder next month. Yeah lockdowns! We flattened the FUCK out of that curve! #justtwoweeks
You should see the random stuff that i haven't been able to get for the last 2 years. - certain spray paint, because the supplier they use to make there can and nozzles are selling to people making disinfectant spray - the paper'sih coveralls that you put over your normal coveralls if you are getting really dirty, the factory the makes the material, is making material for masks - nitrile disposable gloves, everyone is using them so we go to our suppliers and start at the top of the list and go down to see who has what when we need it - so much other random and odd things that we never had a problem getting before
Same with the PCV filter for our industrial 6.7 Cummins. Cummins has hundreds on back order right now. I am just lucky i found one supplier that could cross the fleet guard number.
I spent most of the summer without AC in my vehicle because the compressor died and it took them over 3 months to get a replacement in.
I’m curious what’s gonna happen when all these cars aren’t able to be put together so there’s an excess of certain other parts.
Well Ford has a couple hundred thousand truck already built waiting for chips. GM just shut down a plant in the US somewhere.
Ford just released there 2022 super duties for building on there website. Dream shopping as always. The lariat i was looking at just went up 3k.
I'm wondering if these manufacturers will learn their damn lesson and realize that not EVERYTHING needs it's own computer module. Do you REALLY need a fucking module to control the window and door locks?
It is basically like the Xzibit meme, i heard you like control modules, so i got you a control module for your control module.
Yep. Ran into that with a Durango (IIRC). Driver's window wouldn't go down. Assumed it was the switch. Which it was. Just not the drivers master switch. Somehow it was one of the rear door switches that while operating it's own window, it broke the connection with the driver's master switch.
Narrator: "They did not learn their lesson." If you think this is bad now, just wait until they start forcing EVs onto the market. Because they're eventually going to do it. PROVE ME WRONG.
