Nice. Although it was a lot of fun during one game when everyone decided to gang up on the kid that wouldn't stop using the noob tube. Even his friends were getting in on it. After a couple games he sounded like he was gonna cry. On that game I pulled the headset out so that my wife could hear all the comments, we were both laughing our asses off.

Oh, and I tried the "run around like an idiot knifing everybody" trick, and either a)I just plain suck, b)I was just unlucky or c)I need to unlock Pro level perks. I went 1-6 before switching classes and finishing 7-8.

I tried this trick too, same result. Got killed pretty bad. I keep trying it every now and then, but I stick to my trusty SCAR and it works fine for me.

This is what bugs me about the Assault Rifle class. Virtually every gun I unlocked after the SCAR flat out fucking sucks in comparison. The TAR is decent but the FAL and the M16 blow. The M16 isn't even fucking semi-automatic, it's one shot per button press. I've completed every single challenge on the SCAR except for 300 headshots. I switched to the Mini-Uzi when I unlocked it just to get a change of pace, and because the fire rate was so high.

    1) You definitely have to be smart about knifing. There are MANY times where I take the longest route possible to ensure I'm sneaking up behind those bastards. There are some maps I wont try this on either. If you look at my previous post, the maps where I list cold blooded are the ones that I will try it on, with underpass being my favorite for it.

    2) Agree about the SCAR-H. My favorite gun and best in the game, I think. The fire rate is slow enough that the recoil isn't as bad and it has great range, even with red dot or holograhpic aim. The M16 is a very effective gun (3 round burts) if you're a former Halo 2 player. In CoD4 I absolutely demolished people with this gun. Why? I played a ton of Halo 2 and Halo 3, my primary weapon was the battle rifle (next to the sniper rifle, easily the best gun in the game). Straffe, shoot, straffe, shoot. People have a hard time staying aimed on you.

I've been liking the ACR recently. It's not as powerful as the SCAR or the M16 but it's extremely accurate. The thing is like a laser rifle. For my secondary I have the Stinger Missile equipped through all my classes. I fucking hate getting shot by helicopters and it's pretty annoying for the person who called it in to have it shot down as it comes on screen. I liken it to psychological warfare.

Anyone playing Left For Dead 2? MW2 is entertaining but IW shit all over the PC community and I refuse to degrade myself by playing on a console. ;)

Oh please. Enough with the crybaby shit about Infinity Ward. Either play the game or don't, but none of us that do are interested in hearing people whine about their moral stance against consoles. It's just fanboy elitism at its worst and doesn't really add anything. I'm not singling you out, I keep seeing this shit everywhere.

Anyway, I played Left 4 Dead 2 a bit at a friend's house, and all I can say is "meh". It's really just more of the same as the first and none of the campaigns are as interesting as those in the first game. I definitely think that a year was too soon to release a full sequel.

I just started doing the 'running around like a fucking idiot knifing people' thing and I fucking love it. Derail is easily the best level to do it on. I use p90 silenced, marathon, cold blood, and commando. I also use the throwing knife because of the sheer psychological effect it has. Such a rush to run around the level and throw the knife at someone's head while they are laying down aiming at a teammate. It's easy as hell to sneak up on a ton of unsuspecting people and knife their ass.

Does anyone here play Peggle? This game is like CRACK. It looks really gay and childish at first glance, but I promise it's addictive and awesome.

Holy shit, I just went 24-1. Cold-Blooded works, folks. Underpass is great for sniping, especially if you have the thermal scope.

Finally finished Dragon Age: Origins and picked up MW2 this weekend. It seems like everyone is pretty much focusing on multiplayer, but has anyone played the campaign yet? Our wireless router seems to be on the fritz, so I can't connect to xbox for now. I spent all day yesterday playing and finished the story in one sitting, seven and a half hours total. It was pretty damn fun, even though it was so short. There were some very intense moments that just left me thinking "wow..."

Now its time to check out the special ops mode, or whatever its called, and maybe some Assassins Creed II until I can figure out whats wrong with our router.

The single player campaign and special forces are a lot of fun. I'm impressed with the game as a whole, very well done. Lots of fun.

I played through the campaign the first day it came out because I didn't want anything spoiled for me. I'm so glad I did it that way because there were so many more "oh shit" moments than the first one. I said in an earlier post that there are some Metal Gear-esque twists throughout the whole thing, and I see that as a good thing. I can't wait to see what they do with the next one. Unfortunately I'm po', so I could only rent it and had to take it back about a week ago. But I just got paid, so I'm going to be getting back into it in time to ignore my family on Thanksgiving.

Anyone play the new Mario World? I was at a friend's place just now and we were going through this world, we encountered something that can only be described as huge black cocks with spikes on them. The nightmares.

I'm having the damnedest time trying to get my ps3 mic to work correctly. I charge it, sync it with my ps3 using the blue tooth sync device setting. It recognizes it as an audio device and that it's enabled. Beyond that i can't seem to get the mic to work at all. For instance, when i try to adjust the inbound/outbound audio for it, it has bars that i presume when you talk the bars light up to tell you how softly you're speaking or how loudly you're speaking. But i get nothing. I even diverted inbound audio to the headset and poof, nothing happens. Am i missing something? I remember it working correctly playing war hawk, and i can use it to make skype calls on my mac, but i can't figure this shit out!

It sounds like late 80s, early 90s, Disney had a hand in making this game.

So i finished MW2 the other day. A bit shorter than i'd of liked, but pretty fun none the less. However, im disappointed in myself. I was playing thru on hardened difficulty and everything was going smooth until the msn where you protect the computer equipment inside the cabin. I would die, respawn, die, respawn, die within maybe 5 seconds. i had no time to even find the guys shooting at me, let alone deal with the endless stream of flashbangs that made me want to toss my ps3 out the window. I had to lower it to normal and finished the game.

Do you guys have any tips for that part of the level, it just seemed rediculous to die so fast, it was frustrating to not even "play" before i was instakilled.

There were a couple parts where the game autosaved seconds before I died, and somethings that worked for me:

    1. Drop to prone, immediately.
    2. Straight up run the other direction, get around a corner, hide in the bathroom, etc.
    3. Toss grenades like it ain't no thang.

The part you're talking about was harder because you had to not only protect yourself, but also that laptop, but I managed to get through it by doing those three things.
