Re: Re: the be all end all video game thread The co-op is completely separate from the main story. In co-op, you each play as one of two robots who each have a portal gun and it is a blast. Right after it came out I spent a whole Saturday at my buddies house playing it split screen on his huge LED tv, and it was a blast. However, if you are going to play it you have to play it with someone who hasn't already done all the co-op levels. Most of the fun is from both of you trying to figure out the puzzles together.
When I did an earlier one where you had to get money from 3 people in Riften, they told me to just fuck off. I had someone tell me to smash some objects that were important to them. Try reading the quest discription in the start-button-menu, it usually says what to do when you screwed up convincing characters.
If I remember correctly, there's a women that the Greybeards send you to in Falkreath that will give you a secret phrase to say to him, I think it's something along the lines of "What happened on the 30th of snows?" or some such shit, that convinces him to lead you out of there. You go to the inn and ask for the presidential suite, and she notices you and take you through a false bookcase to a room below.
You mean Delphine in Riverwood, she says to mention the 30th of Frostfall. I know. (God, I'm such a nerd) I've done all those quests. It's after she mentions Esbern's hiding in the Ratway Warrens that the questline comes to a halt. This is such bullshit, I've got full Dragonscale armor, full enchants, I've gotten to the point where I'm raping Frost dragons and now the only thing stopping me is a 1 inch wooden door. So fucking frustrating.
So apparently, one of the most speculated things in video games has been officially revealed: The Zelda Timeline. There was a book released with the history of Hyrule and the Zelda series that lays out the timeline as follows: Skyward Sword Minish Cap Four Swords Ocarina of Time From here, it splits into three parallel universes: Universe 1: Link fails to defeat Ganon in Ocarina of Time Link to the Past Oracle of Ages/Seasons Link's Awakening Legend of Zelda Legend of Zelda II: Adventures of Link Universe 2: Link defeats Ganon, returns to his childhood where Ganon has never ruled Majora's Mask Twilight Princess Four Swords Adventures Universe 3: Link defeats Ganon, this Universe is the Universe from the future where Ganon ruled for 7 years before his defeat: The Wind Waker Phantom Hourglass Spirit Tracks It kind of makes sense, but it is also awkward to think the majority of the series (Universe 1) is predicated on Link in Ocarina of Time failing/getting killed.
Is it just me or are the virtual fuckers in the guilds (in Skyrim) not properly deferential once you've reached head of a guild? Or maybe it's just me, but I want to start bitch slapping some fuckers with a sword to turn their frowns upside down.
I am level 26 and haven't made it to the head of any guild yet. My problem is, i do once quest that sends me to this one place, i end up picking up 2 quest at that location. Complete the quest, go back, get another one from the same guy, now i have 3 quest. And it just fucking compounds, i have something like 8 quests and 16 in msc. So right now i am just going around and completing quests, and not turning them in, just so i can get caught up. And i dont fast travel that often, cause i like to explore, and when i explore i am always finding caves and shit, so to complete one quest it might take 3 hours or more.
Re: Re: the be all end all video game thread My 12 year old and I love co-op! He's usually the figure-er-outer. I just follow orders. My 7 year old will sit and watch us play for hours.
Anyone else playing Star Wars: The Old Republic? I just got it for Christmas and I'm installing it now.
I got Arkham City for Christmas, and I fully intend to pick up Skyward Sword and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection with all the gift cards I got for my birthday and Christmas. The next couple of weeks are going to be busy.
I started Arkham City today and am enjoying it so far with the exception of the side missions where you have to glide through the rings. I find them boring, tough, and get extra pissed every time that I fail because I have to backtrack to the starting point. One of my favourite things about Arkham Asylym was searching for riddler trophies, and they seem more difficult to get in this game, which is great. However, this could be because its early and I don't have a lot of gadgets, so we'll see how that goes.
I bought myself Split/Second most underrated Arcade racing game ever, fucking ever. No one race is the same, its fun as shit. Parents (at my request, yes I am 25, screw you) got me Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3. Had my friends over for the sports games, same 3 friends I'm going to be on vacay with from Thursday to Monday. They don't understand why I don't want to talk to them Monday-Wednesday and expect to hang out, hahaha, crazy.
Singed is definitely the perfect champ for you. All you need is one click and you can run around like a chicken with your head cut off. Play that well next time we get in a match mmmk? Thanks.
Fucking Rise of Immortals. Just let the game play long enough without crashing so I can get this stupid fucking achievement and then delete this damn game off my computer. Edit: I finally got it. 25% off any 1C title. ...fuck you STEAM, fuck you hard.
I've been killing it with a few friends, and I'm loving it. I much prefer the design of this game to WoW, more for the depth they've given to solo'ing that was just so damned dull in previous MMOs. For those of you that have played it, this game is Mass Effect having fucked WoW and making a baby that is a Star Wars nerd. 9 / 10 thus far from me, though we'll see what the end game is all about. Questing definitely feels more epic, and each achievement (i.e. procuring you first lightsaber) feels like a big deal. I highly doubt this will be a WoW killer, but in terms of quality, it ranks up with it. I'm very curious to see how this game does after a few years of support / patching / input from the fan base through expansion. Out of the box, though, there is a ton of content here. EVERYTHING is voiced, and the god damned game is 20 gigs. I highly recommend this to any MMO fan, and especially if you have a mild interest in Star Wars...then proceed to say adios to your family and friends.
WTF, was playing skyrim got my ass disarmed. So did my pack mule. Finished the fight. Found her sword on a corpse, couldn't find mine. Has anyone else noticed the the pathing of your pack mule, just shit? Sometimes they will just stand there. Sometimes they will see to get caught on thin air. Sometimes they cant seem to take the obvious path.
