Supposedly Diablo 3 is coming out Feb. 2. I hope it's true. Word on the street is that the game has been done since November but the South Korean government had problems with the real money auction house and Blizzard didn't want to release the game until that got resolved.
That's sooner than I expected considering Blizzard is notorious for maximizing how far back they can push a release. I'm hoping this will be the actual release time since it's being announced so close to the date, plus beta has been running for awhile now. I'll be pretty happy if they can keep the story line up to the same standards as diablo 2. The only issue I had with the game is that it can be such a grind at times. Running around killing random enemies just to level gets boring eventually. Elder scrolls has managed to avoid this with the countless side missions and in game options. Hopefully Blizzard follows suit.
Yeah, but that would be a massive pain in the ass. Thankfully my last save was further ahead than I thought, so I just used that and moved on. I pissed off Freedom, but that's ok because I have 5 battery artifacts, a SSP-99M and a Vintar BC. The Freedom base is just target practice now, and there's very little that can kill me. The main problem with Duty is that their weapons are slightly less powerful than Freedom (on average), but their armor is a bitch to get through.
Playing Skyrim as usual and end up getting the quest for the drinking challenge. I woke up in Markarth Side. I have never been to "The Reach", so i figure it is a good time to start the local quests. Spoiler There is a local trouble making faction, and you have to figure what is going on. Well i started to, and the city guard didn't like it because they knew what was going on, and where going along with it. I was told to stop, and didn't, and they tried to take me to jail for looking into the trouble. Well i didn't go, and they attacked me. I killed everyone one of the guard, and it didn't take all of the bounty away, there were no witnesses, this all happened in a building. I load the city zone after leaving the building and the guards try and arrest me again, i don't go. So now i am sitting at a bounty of 10K+ fun times.
A couple deals if you looking for new releases: If there are still any Blockbuster stores open near you, they have at least 20% off everything in the store including new games. Also, Best Buy.com has used games buy 2 get 2 free on just about every game released last year.
Spoiler Go to jail, it's part of the quest. The bounty vanishes after the quest is over, I don't know how it is in your case however, since you left and killed other guards as well.
As did I, but it's not: <a class="postlink" href="https://twitter.com/#!/Bashiok/status/156120460009013248" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://twitter.com/#!/Bashiok/status/1 ... 0009013248</a>
Haha, I did the same thing. Ratway in Riften, trying to find the Thieves Guild and working my way through enemies when I eventually reach a big round chamber. I attack one of them trying to be all sneaky-like with a bow, end up getting the whole thieves guild on my tail. Killed one of them, the rest wouldn't die. Return later to find out they've forgotten about it but one of 'em told me to 'mind my own business or she'd send her brother on me.' Yeah.. Good luck with that. I'm still stuck on the Esbern quest so now I'm just wreaking havoc wherever I go. My objective is to be the most despised presence in all of Skyrim. Awesome.
Oh year forgot about that, my bounty go so high, 20K. That they sent named guards after me, that wouldn't die.
This is one main reason why I'm glad I've got it on XBox, I have not had it crash on me one time and I'm up to level 40. Yeah I've had the game freeze up on me but thats mainly because my Xbox is a piece of shit, but I've never had any of these glitches that I hear people complain about so much. Right now I'm playing my Level 40 Redguard, the knight in shining armor. Everyone loves him, people throw flowers at his feet when he walks into town. My second character is only a level 15 Kahjiit assassin and he is going to slowly and surely kill everyone that talks back to him. Walk by someone who says something harsh to me? Knife to the throat.
I think I just beat Skyrim. I'm a level 36 rogue type thing with the nightingale armor and sword, chillrend sword, and the molag bal mace. Everything I have is upgraded to the maximum that I can, which made the game hella easy. I was never less than half health during the alduin fight, and it took me maybe 8 swings to kill him. A word of note, if you want to breeze through the game, upgrade your smithing to the Max, then fully enhance all your weapons and armor. I guess I'll start a new character now...
Keep levelling. I think at either 40 or 50 the enemy scaling changes and you get some crazy hard fights again. Ancient Dragons will absolutely ruin your shit. Besides, you probably still have at least one of the main guilds to go through still (Dark Brotherhood, Companions, or College - I assume you've done TG based on having their armour), all the Daedric quests to finish (which are awesome), and the Dragon masks to collect (have fun!).
I'm a level 38 rogue, maxed on Sneak, and Archery around 85 and I'm ruining everyone. Unless it gets to a close in fight, then I'm completely fucked. I did the same thing though, blacksmithed the hell out of an Ebony Bow (Exquisite), but the armor I use is Thieves guild armor, Nightengale Boots, Gloves of Extreme Archery and a Hide Helmet of Extreme Archery along with a ring of Extreme archery. The fights have been easy, but I'm going to level up (I haven't leveled up in about 2 weeks, so I should come in around level 43 when I do so. Fun as hell, though.
Genki Bowl DLC was released today for SR3, and approximately three of us will care because the rest of you are a bunch of Skyrim obsessed basement dwellers.
Kingdom of Amalur: The Reckoning dropped their demo on PSN last night. I loved the trailer and the talk about it so I was excited to play this game. Its basically Dragon Age, but without the 4 people following you. Quests, armor, leveling up, abilities, classes. Its an open world Action RPG. I like it so far except for weird jumps and frame rate issues in the demo. The demo is pretty fucking long, it comes in over 3 gigs. Gorgeous game, but your character doesn't talk, I hope this is demo specific. Especially since your interaction with NPCs is just like Mass Effect. Speaking of Mass Effect you get all these bonuses for the game if you buy it AND Mass Effect 3 just by downloading the demo.
So...I believe Star Trek Online went free-to-play recently. Has anyone tried it out? I'm a huge Star Trek fan, but I've never played an MMO. Thoughts?
MMOs are time and money consuming. Free-to-play almost always includes massive advantages for players who pay money for bonus stuff, though I've heard STO is much less severe in this aspect than other MMOs such as Battlestar Online.
