An expansion for Civilization V was announced. This has me wet with excitement. Hopefully the multiplayer stability gets greatly improved.
Yeah, I assumed that putting the parts into the tower wouldn't be a problem, but I'm clueless regarding the complexity of making it all work. I'll see if a friend knows someone who can help with that when I can narrow down the build I want. If the cost savings aren't significant, I may just buy something from one of the links posted in this thread to avoid the risk of ending up with a brick. Thanks
I just started Saints Row 3. I gotta say that its everything that I loved about Vice City and everything that I wanted it to be but wasn't. I haven't played the first two. Anything I should look out for?
That game is fucking awesome, unfortunately it came out at the same time as Skyrim and some other good games so no one really played it. I would recommend at least playing Saint's Row 2 (you can download it on PSN and probably Microsoft's store) before going any further in The Third. It's an obviously good game, but I was about halfway through The Third when I played it and there are some features that weren't in Saint's Row 2 that spoiled me and made it hard to enjoy.

Don't pass this up.
Two things: First, I got the platinum trophy for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Not sure if that is awesome or sad. They are planning some DLC for the game (including, from what I hear, full chapters for side characters like Snow, Sazh, and Lightning), but I just wanted to say this: The "secret" ending was bullshit, and really not worth gathering all 160 fragments. The game is shorter than your typical Final Fantasy title (all told, to get the platinum trophy took about 40 hours of game time). Second: I am now considering whether or not to buy Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I can trade in old games and get it for pretty cheap, but I'm still not sure. Anyone played it any more than the demo? The reviews have been really average so far, so I don't know if it is worth it.
I'm playing as a mage and have sunk a few hours into the game (around level 15 right now). My impressions: It is very very average. On the plus side, it has TONS of content. The map is huge, there's an insane number of quests and you are relatively free to roam around and do whichever quest you want. The combat is pretty average. The mechanics are very well done (and the moves look so pretty!). However there isn't a lot of variety. Mage's staff has 3 special moves along with it's basic 3 hit combo. Swords and other stuff have more (around 5), since mages also get spells. That might seem OK at first, but after killing a 1000 baddies, it will feel repetitive (although, I haven't unlocked all the spells). The AI is pretty weak too. The quests are also very repetitive. Pretty much always boils down to run there, clear that cave, run back. The story behind the quests is interesting, but doesn't really draw you in. TL;DR: it's pretty good for what it is, but there is absolutely nothing exceptional about it.

I'm playing free week Ziggs. He is the fucking shit. His ult + GP's ult is fucking beast mode. He can poke like a pro. I love him so much.
One thing I forgot to mention that is pretty annoying is that the game rarely rewards and sometimes punishes exploration. For example, if you run around, find a cave and clear it, chances are you'll have to come back to kill some monster that only spawns after you start the appropriate step of a quest.
Skyrim also looked pretty and felt like an authentic, lived-in world. Those two things alone made exploration worth it. Reckoning did neither; I got about 6 hours in and gave up.
I bought Reckoning and have barely played 5 hours of it. It feels, as others have described, very pretty, but very generic I'm a big story guy, so I'll forgive if the graphics are less if it the story is engaging. I wanted this to be good, but it seems as if I wasted my money. I probably let it sit until after Mass Effect 3 comes out and after I get tired of playing ME3, then I'll give it another shot. T-minus 2 weeks until ME3. I am very excited. This is Bioware's opportunity to atone for Dragon Age 2. I know EA was mainly responsible for that mess, but still....
