D26 hit it on the head. I had AC3 for 3 days before I was bored to tears with it. Repetitive, boring story, and lame characters. Traded it for FC3 and loved it. Best game I played on PS3 since Deus Ex HR.
If you have ever played EVE or have any idea about it check this out http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/17d2lv/massive_2800_player_battle_in_eve_online_took/c84hbfo Probably around a 3000 person battle. That is fucking nuts. The CFC(the guy who started it, basically runs the colliation) lost a lot of shit. ~44 Dreads, 29 Carriers, 5 Supercarriers and 3 Titans. The HBC and the rest of EVE lost 10 Carriers, 6 Dreads, and one Supercarrier. It's a mind boggling amount of damage done, and money lost. But that's EVE. This battle all started by mistake, instead of clicking "bridge" he clicked "jump", and jumped his titan into enemy territory. He called in reinforcements, the other side called in there fleet, he panicked and called in everyone he knew. Everyone rushed to support what ever side. You can buy plex's with real world money for game time, or sell them off for in game currency to other players. His ship is worth about 3500 dollars, the entire amount lost was in the neighbourhood of 25,000 dollars.
Eve-Online. The game sounds amazing, but the amount of work it takes to have that much fun is ridiculously high. Especially counting in the fact that time dialation slowed down combat so much it felt like a pillow fight. I miss that game so much.
I know almost nothing about it but God of War: Ascension is coming out soon and I can't wait! I love that series so hard.
Same. I really want to resub, but so much of my time went into it. Plus you cant have alot of fun solo or in small groups anymore, to much about blow warfare.
Dude, I've been trying to speedrun this game. Fuuuuuck Seven Force. On a side note, I'm a total Treasure fanboy. Them and Bungie are probably the two studios I would love to work for (in a parallel dimension where I actually know something about making videogames).
One of my favorite games of the 16-bit era. But these guys did it wrong. Homing + laser is the way to go, always.
Yes but then you have to use Fixed mode to make it worth a damn. Homing + Laser + Free is like godmode if you're up to it.
Ok...I don't need to get into EVE Online again. Like really, seriously don't. I have a job, I'm back in school, training is going well, the women situation is good...I don't need this. However, this sounds hilarious. Apparently there was a 3000+ player battle recently. Good lord. But apparently, the article doesn't go into full detail about the oops worthy beginning to what would turn out to be a giant clusterfuck. Relevant part is at 2:20. Hahaha, moron misclick. How do you only warp yourself? Good lord.
That's the exact same thing Wexton just posted FYI a page back that started the Eve discussion... Also if you've played Eve, that mistake is scarily easy to make as there are two massively different options less .01 CM away from each other.
Holy shit. I think I've finally found it. The worst game (and I use that term loosely) of all time, courtesy of the Videogame Nerd:
Anyone buying Colonial Marines for PC? I really hope I'm not disappointed in this game because it looks awesome.
Those fantastic CCP interface designers... I love that it took them over five years to change the font to be readable on larger displays. Sidenote: If you have an Xbox 360 and you don't do Bing Rewards, I highly recommend it. The upshot is that you do up to 30 Bing searches a day, and you get free points for XBLA, DLC, etc. I basically just open up all the "trending" searches in tabs and get it over with real quick. I've cashed in 800 MS points so far, which ain't too shabby for something that takes like 5 minutes a day. http://www.bing.com/explore/rewards
I just played the first Portal the other day. That was fun, and now I get the song. I'd played the glados song on Rock Band before, but now it's funny. Gonna play Portal 2 next, followed by Ni No Kuni, which Gabe from Penny Arcade described as basically the perfect archetypal JRPG.
