I've been getting bored with my Assault Rifles and Sniper classes so for the last few days I've gone on a shotgun rampage. I play Hardcore 99% of the time and usually headquarters. Here's my current setup. Primary : Any Sub-machine gun Secondary Striker with Grip Frag Flash bangs Sleight of hand PRO-for the quicker Aim Down Sights mostly. It really helps. Cold Blooded Steady Aim/Ninja I like both and switch off regularly. Killstreak: UAV, Predator, Harrier I switch to the shotgun immediately and never use my primary. It adds a little variety to the game and makes it more challenging. I tend to stay indoors and try to flank the enemy because of the reduced range and it feels pretty good to sneak up on the other team and blast the shit out of them.
Guitar Hero Offers Health Benefits, Study Says Heard about this from my psych teacher today, don't know if this article was the one he was talking about. One more reason for me to play I guess.
I also agree that this seems pretty common. There are some nights I'll get on and just be doing great. Not spectacular, but good enough that I'm sucked into playing for at least a few hours. Even leaving lobbies and rejoining others doesn't decrease how well I'm doing. On the other had, some nights I'll get on, and after as few as two matches I have to just turn it off for the night. It could be a matter of me being tired or having slower reaction times some nights compared to others, it could be an internet thing (but my home network is pretty consistently fast, so I don't know about this), it could be the nature of the game, or it could be something else entirely. I don't know what it is, but sometimes I'm just awful.
Maybe it's coincidence, but this is the class I goto one team deathmatch or pretty much anything non-hardcore, and I've been virtually unstoppable. Try it out if you have the level. ACR w/ FMJ & Silencer Bling Pro (obviously) Stopping Power Pro Ninja Pro Use whatever equipment you want. I figured with the ACR's ridiculous accuracy and the fact that it's natural sight is just as good, if not better, than the red dot, you can compensate for it's lack of power with the FMJ and stopping power. I put dudes down with 3 shots, and range is no issue far nor close. Give it a whirl.
I played almost exclusively hardcore in MW1 and loved it. The only thing that pisses me off about it is friendly fire with kill streak rewards. I'd always feel like an ass wiping out members of my team with a airstrike or whatever. I've been doing Ground War mainly on MW2 since that seems to be the quickest way to level up. I still haven't even prestiged once yet so I'm trying to catch up.
I've played both although I played Dragon Age on the 360. Demon's Souls is by far the harder game. We're talking death 30+ times per level easily. If youre looking for story Dragon Age is the winner hands down. Demon's souls is more of an Action-RPG in the loosest sense. You can improve yourself and upgrade gear but thats about it. No story, very little interaction and no dialoge choice at all. The combat in Demon's Souls is completely character controlled. Every thrust and parry is up to you. Dragon Age has an auto-attack combat system and you just control special abilities and such. (Think Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) I'd go with Dragon Age if you only want one of them. Longer campaign, more replay value, better story and more variety overall.
the problem I have with setups like that is that I run out of ammo FAST with the ACR, I've got that same setup with the SCAR and almost always have to switch to seconday or pick up someones fallen weapon I took about a week break from MW2 and now it seems like I'm behind the curve-my kd ratio sucks.
Anyone here a member of Gamefly? I have a basic membership, 1 disc at a time, and I have a lot of trouble with them shipping me games. My queue always has over 10 games in it, and basically nothing newer than 6 months old is available for shipping, ever. Sometimes I have to sit and wait for a week for them to ship me something.
Was I the only person disappointed with Fallout 3? Fallout 1&2 are two of my favorite games of all time. They were smart, funny, and incredibly detailed. It seemed to me all Bethesda did was reskin Oblivion with guns and masturbate over how much money they were gonna make.
I agree that Fallout 3 was different from 1&2 but I still think it's a great game, enjoyed it very much. Gonna replay it some time now that the GOTY edition with all the DLC included is out. But that won't be too soon as I'm still not finished with Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2 will be out at the end of the month and Dragon Age: Awakening in March.
I used Gamefly for about two years until I moved to Guam. I had the same problem you do. Too few copies to keep up with the demand.
Interesting thing though, it's being developed by Obsidian. The people that brought us Neverwinter Nights 2 and Star Wars KOTOR 2. I'm hoping for a return to an isometric view myself as well. Honestly the real game I'm looking forward to is the new Star Wars MMO.
Sunnova B. I just started Dragon Age: Origins and I keep getting stuck at every point I have to fight more than 5 guys at once. What the hell? What does Bioware expect, people to be able to kill 15 fucking skeletons at the same time while they stun your attacks? Jebus, lighten up will ya...whatever, I'm drunk and don't care very much right now, we'll solve this problem in the am when I'm sober.
I had the same problem when I first started the game. I had a warrior which I was using to tank and I had the game on normal difficulty; the thing was that any battle with more than a few enemies I would die pretty easily. I would have to basically play the battle a dozen or more times and save continuously in order to move on to the next area. Then I create a mage and the game is significantly easier, even when I play on the hard difficulty. I've yet to reach a battle I couldn't beat without one or two tries. Unless I just wasn't playing the warrior correctly, which I doubt since I've heard the same from others, there is a significant imbalance to the difficulty of the game depending on what your class is. Maybe later in the game it's not as prominent but I definitely noticed this in the first few areas. It's almost too easy using frost attacks with my mage to freeze enemies and let my rogues or warriors take them out one by one.
If you want to play on super hard mode just set the game on whatever difficulty you want and then never use cone of cold. I'd be staggered if anyone could beat this game without that spell.
I did. Twice. I've played through once as a Rogue, with a party that mostly consisted of two Rogues (main character, Leilana), a tank (Alistar), and a healer (Wynne). Rarely used magic outside of healing. Second time, I was a Warrior that focused on Damage, with a tank (Alistar at first, then Shale), and a healer (Wynne, again), and a rogue (Leilana at first, then Zevran). Again, very little focus on magic in that party. I didn't have a whole lot of trouble in either case. I usually focused on making my tank have shield skills and be a pure damage absorber, with threaten and other things to bring threat to him. My main damage dealer is the main character, and focuses on pure offense. For a warrior, I gave the Main Character two handed weapons and focused on those skills. For the Rogue, I went with two handed skills. Then I use my Rogue as my ranged attacker, by focusing on Dexterity and giving them bows. Then I just give Wynne tons of healing responsibility, and I rarely lose.
Just found this, its a funny little thing about MW2. I got a laugh out of it, and each point was pretty spot on, so I thought I'd share it.
Just started playing Doukutsu Monogatari, aka Cave Story. This is a platform game in the vein of Metroid or Gunstar Heroes, made by one Japanese salaryman over the course of five years and released in 2004. And it is awesome. Playing this game feels effortless. Every element of this game was thought out carefully over years and years, and it shows. Even when the action is frantic, the gameplay is relaxed; you always feel in control when your player is in control, and when you're surrounded by enemies and you're going nuts, so does your character. I'm terrible at describing it, but needless to say, you should play it. The best part? It's free.
Cave story also has a ridiculous amount of secrets. It has a very high level of replayability. The secret stuff aren't just easter eggs either, there's a hidden boss and plenty of hidden items and things like that.
