Shit I must have missed that, don't remember any screening telling me I could do this. FFS, I am like 3 hours in and might have to restart.
dragonagekeep.com I was able to import in my saves and make adjustments to my custom world as necessary. Varric and I had a long conversation about what happened in DA2. Nerdgasm.
I am downloading FIFA15 now since it's on sale for Black Friday for 23 bucks. I was half temped to get a PS4 but the two game bundles don't feature games I'm really interested in getting. One is GTAV (which I already have)/The Last of Us the other is Lego Batman/Little Big Planet 3. I guess Ill hold off for now. I do have a powerful urge to get it and Call Of Duty and challenge some busters.
Of course both servers get hacked and shut down on a long weekend when I have time to play. Fucking christ.
So I looked up the requirements .... Minimum System Requirements •Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz •AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940 •Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 •AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870 •RAM 6GB •OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) •DirectX 11 •HDD Space 40 GB Recommended System Requirements •Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3,4 GHz •AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz •Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770 •AMD GPU Radeon R9 290 •RAM 8GB •OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) •DirectX 11 •HDD Space 40 GB Jesus fuck. The minimum i5-2500k is basically the same as the new i5-4690k which is top of the line mid range. Then you get the i7-3770 which is last generations top range chip which really isn't the much different then the newer generations top line chip range(I am not counting the EE chips). Holy fuck, must people who are going to go out and buy a computer for game would probably only get up to the i5-4960k. And that is just the minimum. edit: type change recommended i5 to minimum i5
Inqusition is great. I'm glad my patience was rewarded. The first game was just good enough for me to want to buy DAII, and then DAII was very good, but not open enough for me. I'm an Elder Scrolls guy so I like to poke around and wander the countryside a bit. Inquisition is a huge improvement over DAII, with a massive world to explore.
Sweet. I started to play, then I found out you can import your other DA game info for the back story. Well my old game files were on a dead ps3, couldn't find anyone with one. So I took my ps3 apart baked it to see if I could get it to work. Well it did, but for some reason the wireless didn't work and I couldn't copy my saved data to a jump drive. So I turned it off and was going to get a long Ethernet cable so I could run it across my entire house. Well I tried to turn my ps3 back on the next day when I had the cable, and it didn't turn on, same problem as before. I got pissed off and didn't touch the ps3 since, because I didn't want to smash it out of frustration.
I was only able to access my DAII info, as the first Xbox I used is long gone, and i don't think they had the servers up yet. Even so, this game has so much going for it I don't think you need any of the previous info to enjoy it.
You can't import old Dragon Age game saves into DA:I. You have to go to dragonagekeep.com and sign in with an Origin account to recreate the choices you made. Then you import that into DA:I.
Aaaaaand that's why I'm not even bothering trying to play this on PC and will just stick to my low-medium settings, 30fps PS4 edition.
Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn is now available for trial on the PS3. The problem with all these games is that 1) They take up 11 Gigs. 2) You get excited to play it and it has to download like 5-6 of those gigs once you actually get it installed on your computer. I played about 30 minutes of it before I tapped out. First let me say I was against this game, because I can't play anything that resembles WoW, Everquest, Eve-Online etc ever again. The time I have lost to WoW and Eve, I'm never getting back. But I wanted to check it out. The interface takes some getting used to, for PS3 person, the HUD takes up a lot of the screen and there is a really difficult targeting/mouse system that is too easy to toggle at the wrong time. They seemed to have really put time into optimizing it, but there are just a lot of fucking windows on the screen. My spell bar, blocked out my enjoyment of seeing the actual spell cast. Also, menus, menus, menus! Backing up from there, when you're creating your character, the description of what each race benefits are, what "deity" benefits are and what the jobs actually do are super vague. Definitely will need to do some website reading before getting into it. The one thing hands down that the game is though is FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. The game just looks amazing.
So I'm planning on getting a new gaming system and am trying to decide between the PS4 and xbox 1. Anyone have any input into which is preferable? It seems that it used to be everyone I knew had an xbox 360, but now people are going for both. I'm not really that big into the spawning and dying over and over multiplayer shooters if that makes much difference in the choice.
The PS4 UI is about 10000 times more intuitive, and the graphics are pretty much interchangeable. PSN is also free. Really, pick whichever console has the exclusives you like better. PS has Uncharted and a few others, XBOX has Halo.
Yeah, at this point it's really up to what kind of exclusives you're into. I have an Xbox One and I couldn't be happier with it. There's a bunch of cool stuff coming down the pipe once Windows 10 comes out, specifically being able to stream XBox One games to your computer (and maybe vice versa). As I'm going to have a family soon, being able to play my vidya games while that ankle biting terrorist is watching whatever it is kids watch these days is gonna be huge for me.
