I played this at a friend's house, and have to agree; it's WAY superior to Wii Sports, which look like garbage by comparison. The Playstation Move has better graphics, controls, and much deeper, more immersive, fun games. There are numerous challenges, game modes, and things to do for every sport, and "Gladiator Battle" is even a half-decent fighter.

Rip-off or not, it's a lot better than its predecessor.

I have been looking around but can't find anything so I will ask here. Are there any games for the 360 that are like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games or Nobagunda's Ambition?

I used to be able to play those games forever without getting tired of them.

I'm really late to the game with Halo. As in, I've never played. I'm planning on picking up a copy of Reach on the weekend and checking it out, but I don't want to be the total noob or 'that chick' that's pissing everyone else off. What are some tricks and tips for a total beginner that would be helpful to start with? Is there anything particular to Halo game etiquette I should be aware of? Are there any particularly good sites I can check out for this kind of info that a beginner will be able to read without wondering what the hell they're talking about?

Just play through the single player campaign. It'll give you a sense for the weapons, pace, controls, etc.

This seems to be the theme on this page, but seeing as I'm late to the SC2 party I had a question about the rankings. Ok, so in my 1v1 I won 4/5 of the placement matches and ended up dead last in silver league with my only loss being to an all out rush. I've been playing the 4v4s a lot and end up #1 in the resources count half the time, and usually top three the other half. My record isn't that great, but it just kind of goes by who you're paired with. I decided to play 3v3s with zerg (I'm always protoss) and after one game of not having a clue what I was doing I somehow get bumped up to gold league. What the fuck?

I get that the rankings themselves tend to be dependent on how often you play, and not just how often you win. In 4v4s I'm ranked 4th and can't realistically move up unless I drop everything else in my life. I just don't get why I'm placed higher in leagues I've obviously played worse in.

This is a simple complicated answer. The league system is based on the points of players around you regionally at first then on the largest scale. There are more people in 1v1 so there is more of a higher point spread. So 50 points in Silver league 1v1 is weighted differently in 3v3 because there are less people in 3v3. So you can move up faster in 3v3. There are plat players that are 200-199 win/loss and also plat players that are 75-55.

Anyone been reading the details about the 3DS? Here's Kotaku's collection of articles:

    http://kotaku.com/5650944/3ds-gets-price-date-streaming-tv-games-details

I'm on the fence, but leaning towards buying one. While it hasn't been made official, it seems as though DSi and DSi XL owners will be allowed to transfer their purchased DSiWare onto a new 3DS. And the inclusion of a Game Boy Virtual Console is a lot of fun. That's something that should have been featured when the DSi was released.

I could say I may or may not get one of these now, but I know that when they come out I will end up buying one. I have the DS lite now, and while I haven't played it in a little while, its a great little game system and was totally worth the money, and I expect the 3DS to be just as good if not better.

Now that I think of it, there is a Zelda title that I haven't played yet on the DS...may have to pick that one up. Anyone play the most recent DS Zelda game that can say if it was worth playing or not?

I own Spirit Tracks. It's just as good as Phantom Hourglass and definitely worth playing. The DS Zelda titles are just a joy to play.

I've been neglecting school projects and social life all weekend and probably the better part of this week because of Minecraft. I warn you, this $13 game could possibly steal more hours of your life and give you more hours of enjoyment than the last 3 shitty generic shooters you dropped $150 on.

If you haven't heard, Minecraft is a low budget, low-fi, low-rez open world survival/sandbox game. And its a big world. Like, bigger than the earth, except it's made entirely of cubes and Doom-era grapics. All you do is harvest resources, craft objects, build, and occasionally fight monsters when the sun goes down. No story, characters, achievements, objective. But holy shit can you build. This game will give you exactly what you put into it. You can build the tower of Babel, you can delve too deep like straight up dwarves in Moria. You can get lost in the random environment forever. All I can say is it's like living in a world where all matter most closely resembles legos. If you loved LEGO as a kid, well this is a LEGOland you can live in.

It's almost more fun going on youtube or http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/ to see what incredibly complex and intricate structures people devote days into building than to do it yourself. This game was made by one guy who has know earned over something over a million dollars in less than a year because of how popular this game is. You can play the classic version that is designed strictly for unlimited building here for free: http://www.minecraft.net/

I never understood exactly what this game was about until I saw this clip: http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/81117009/

Probably because it spoke to me in a language I can understand: Star Trek.

You can even burn down the house that you and a friend spent so long building!

Dead Rising 2 isn't perfect, and never claims to be.

It's rough around the edges, doesn't always have the smoothest transitions, and there are a ton of load screens.

But it's fun and a violent button masher that relieves my stress more than spending time outfitting my wardrobe on Fallout 3.

There's little strategy, a ton of gore, and not much else. Everything Dead Rising was meant to be.

8/10. If you want more, New Vegas will be out in a few weeks.

    NBA 2k11 Midnight release <3.

So much smoother compared to some of the older versions and so many new moves+ Signature moves introduced to the game.
I've only played two full games so far so my opinion may change a little but either way this game is fricken awsome.

The only minor problems that I spot so far are outlet passing is much harder ( Which probably isn't terrible as this will eliminate cherry pickers) as it gets picked off a lot more and it's a lot easier to get blocks.

Picked up Castlevania: Lords of Shadow today. In an unexpected (and happy) surprise, it came with a code to download Castlevania: Symphony of the Night free, so I'll be downloading that to my PS3, too. Win!

Haven't been able to break into Lords of Shadow yet, but from what I've seen, there is a lot of God of War influence. I feel like one of the few that liked Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence, so maybe I'm just a fanboy of the series (entirely possible, I am subject to fanboy-ism for certain game series, like Final Fantasy).

Don't pick up the sniper rifle if you can't hit anyone with it. That will get the 12-15 year old boys furious!

I just got done playing the Demo. I fucking love this game. Kojima had something to do with the game so I know the polish is there. If I didn't just buy God of War 3, I'd be picking this up. The graphics are fucking sexy.

And son of a bitch, I'm falling in love with the PS Move. I told myself I was only going to get silly games for it when people came over. Then I played Tumble. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
