Any body here play Fable? Fable III is coming out pretty soon, I've never played it but my one buddy swears by it. I've never really been a fan of RPG's except for Dragon Age, and I do need a game to play besides Reach.
Fable was interesting. Fable II was incredibly difficult to get into and it felt like a job instead of a story. I'm not buying the game. I would suggest sticking with Mass Effect.
Apparently they've made a lot of changes to the Druid (especially healing and boomkin). Being boomkin isnt solely based on whether or not you proc an eclipse. Here's a good roundtable to listen to. Raid Warning: Shift Happens
Your buddy is an idiot, Fable and Fable II are two of the most over-hyped piece of shit games on the face of the Earth. Never believe a word Peter Molyneaux says about how "revolutionary" any of his games are ever again. Fair warning.
Did anyone play Hotel 626 somebody posted on the old board? I remember giving it a go but I was too much of a pussy to get past the second stage. I’m not very good with horror stuff. I tried giving Resident Evil 4 a go a couple of weeks ago on my old PS2 but, having gotten so used to MW2, I found the controls so frustrating I just gave up.
That's because Capcom hasn't yet joined this decade like other devs and allow you to fucking move and shoot at the same time. Here's hoping Resident Evil 6 actually incorporates this "new" feature.
I don't know if they were just writing it off, or were actually sincere but I think they said they left it that way since it would add to the suspense of the game, making it so you can't just run away and Barry Sanders the zombies so easily.
I wasn't specifically referring to The Lion King, I meant RE5 is as suspenseful as a Disney movie, set in Africa. I would say that half the characters in The Lion King are smarter than Sheva though.
WHY IS ELITE SLAYER ALWAYS VOTED IN?! That is fun to play every once in a while to mix things up, but if it is an option, it gets voted in. It's happened at least 6 straight times. To me that is the least fun of the games, the movements are weird, the guns suck, and just overall weak compared to the rest of the games.
Ended up seeing the trailer for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood during UFC 120. That, and playing through AC2 again got me sold on buying it. As of today, if you pre-purchase it at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...cm_re=assassin's_creed-_-74-170-061-_-Product you get it for $10 off with free shipping.
It's a $15 credit at Amazon with 99 cent release date delivery. If you have Amazon Prime (they had a student program where if you gave them your college email, you get a year for free) then it's free release date delivery. Amazon is good because they almost always match or beat other website's promotions on games and you can just chain the credits on game after game, saving a lot. I almost never pay more than $30 for new games anymore.
I got a Killimanjaro (7) multikill in SWAT matchmaking last night, it was pretty awesome. I don't know why, but it seems like I am much better at Halo when I am good and drunk. Now I just need to decide if I want to pick up Fallout: New Vegas on Teusday, or wait until my Halo interest dies down a little and play it then.
If you pre order it, you get a special code where you start with a kit. Every place you preorder from gives you something different. I know if you preorder from Best Buy you get: -Metal Armor -Grenade Launcher -3 stim paks I cant wait to get it on tuesday.
That free download of Symphony of the Night is already awesome. I forgot just how great that game is. They've tried to recreate it with the GBA and DS versions of Castlevania, but (with the possible exception of Aria of Sorrow) they've not come close.
I love Symphony of the Night, and consider it one of the most revolutionary games ever. However, you're really ignoring how great its sequels are; Aria and Order of Ecclesia are at least comparable, if not equal to Symphony, and "Portrait of Ruin" actually surpasses it, mastering that particular game formula.
I was thinking the exact same thing today. I really love Reach and have my sights set on the Black Visor, but I poured a ton of hours into the last Fallout. Between work and school I don't have time to have two games going at once and I know Fallout will suck me in. Reach multi-player is a shit-ton of fun though and the daily challenges really add a sense of accomplishment, especially the harder ones. I played MW2 for a long time but eventually got sick of grenade spam and cheap tactics. In Reach, I almost never feel like I am getting cheated even when I'm getting dominated (which happens more than I'd like). When I lose, it's either my own poor playing, or that the other people are better than me. I'm not even close to being sick of Rocketfight in Firefight though, way too much fun.
Just found out my Gamestop is doing a midnight release for New Vegas. This is momentous because they never do midnight releases for anything. I plan to be home and playing by 12:30 and I have no work or school tomorrow. The next 24 hours are going to be awesome. Fallout 3 is my favorite game of this generation, and I'm ultra pumped for this game.
