What console? I have a ps3 and I got into the weapons cache fine without a science of 100...

Also the weapons seemed underpowered because they gave enemies a new damage threshold thing and you have to use armor piercing bullets on a lot of them. I just bought the anti-material rifle and it pretty much ruins everything in 1 shot. That plus I sneak around everywhere and try and get the one shot sneak kills as often as possible. Also the 10mm Sub-Machine gun does a pretty good job of ruining peoples faces in V.A.T.S.

Anybody going to get Kinect? I've been thinking about it but most likely will pass, as I have done with the PS Move. The launch titles all look so mediocre and the to-be-released games also look like fail. I was originally really excited about Kinect, but I suppose I was envisioning games that didn't involve dancing to shitty music and playing bestiality with virtual animals.

If anyone IS interested in buying this shit though, there are some deals to be had. Target is doing a buy 2 get 1 on all Kinect games. Best Buy is matching that and supposedly throwing in a $20 gift card as well. Kmart and Toys R Us are offering $20-$25 gift cards for buying the hardware, too.

WickedBitch will appreciate this one. I gave in and decided to get a PowerUp card from GameStop (I didn't want to, but considering how often I trade in games there...well, shit), and noticed this when activating it online:

In other news, I traded in my Fallout 3 GOTY edition, since I wanted to get what money I could for it before New Vegas came out, but also because I don't see myself ever playing it again after all the hours I logged in the first time around (easily 120+). Now I find myself wishing I hadn't. I feel it'll end up being one of those awesome games that withstand time, like Goldeneye or Mario Kart (there are better examples, but you get the idea). Also, the copy of Left 4 Dead 2 they sold me just keeps restarting after the intro video. I'm waiting for those motherfuckers to open so I can promptly go and get me a copy that goddamned works.

    Fuck GameStop.

Can I just say? I'm incredibly stoked for the new Assassin's Creed. The turnaround time between games seems suspect, but I guess they were already working on the followup whilst AC2 was coming to fruition.

And can I say? While AC1 was cool, but repetitive, AC2 was in my top five games of all time.

I've played the Beta for the multiplayer, and it's kinda sweet, but what I've seen of the storyline mode looks amazing. I may have to buy a new theme for my PS3 desktop, as it were.

The problem is this: Black Ops is out on Tuesday, and I'm all in. The new Wager games look incredible (check the COD Addicts thread for the hour long video on how cool they are), so I'm definitely gonna play that. But AC 2.5 comes out the next week, and I'm definitely gonna play that as well.

I guess I should thank a non-existent higher power that I only work 15 days out of 30....

My new favorite weapon is the plasma caster, the only thing it doesn't wreak havoc on is ghouls. AM rifle does a good job also. I miss the Lincoln Repeater....

It was pointed out to me, and I agree: the CP system looks like a breath of fresh air.

Like it said in that hour long video that you NEED to watch if you play COD, leveling up opens the store, CP, buys the items. It looks awesome.

Also, I can't wait to play Nuke-Town. Looks like an Awesome board.

Also, I know I've said it before, but I'm stoked for each and every one of the new multiplayer: wager boards. One bullet, Gun escalation, the one where you only have a crossbow, ballistic knives, or a tomahawk, and the fourth one. I can't remember all their names, but they will be epic.

For AC: Brotherhood, I'm pretty sure they're going to reuse the same engine, a lot of the same (or similar) locales, and a lot of the same (or similar) figure models. I'll even bet the missions are all extremely similar to AC2. Maybe they'll add a few new moves or weapons, but otherwise, I'd guess half the programming was already done. I think this made turn-around for AC: Brotherhood a lot easier. I am pretty excited for it, too. The multiplayer looked like it would be a good addition, and I loved both previous AC games.

I wish I could get excited about CoD, but FPS games make me motion sick, so I can't play them. Black Ops actually looked really cool, but can't do it.

That's absolutely fine with me, as far as Assassin's Creed goes; as I said, it's one of my top 5 games. As long as they advance the story in a significant way, while also being a crazy good sandbox game? I'm all in. And like I said, I've played the multiplayer on Beta, it's seriously not bad. You're after people while others are after you. It seems like a good twist on the genre, especially when you add in the free-running component.

As far as motion sick on FPS games, I can't help you. I played the hour long video in the COD thread at work earlier tonight, and I had an audience of 7. They all thought the game looked awesome, and the new multiplayer modes were incredible.

Not to mention, the Nuke-town board looks like crazy fun.

I'm hoping one of you can help me here.

I just got a Wii and it is now connected to the interwebsnet via a wireless router. What other badass things can I do with this thing from here other than watching porn? Can I download games, etc? Pm me if you can help. I appreciate it.

Fuck, why does power armor have to be so hard to get? I've spent like 3 hours doing the "still in the dark quest" for the elder, and now to get training I have to do "eyesight for the blind" but I have ZERO chance getting past all of those Nightkin. Is there anything else I can do? I'm at level 22 and the Nightkin just rape me everytime.

The only way to get Power Armor training besides the Brotherhood is to get Arcade Gannon as a companion and do his side quest: For Auld Lang Syne. The quest itself isn't that hard, but doing all the things to make him like you enough to tell you is pretty annoying. Plus, this way you get the Remnant Power Armor which is far better than any of the others.

But really, if you're level 22 you should not be having that much trouble with the Nightkin, especially if you have 2 companions (which if you don't, why the hell not?). Are you playing on very hard or something?

I'm playing on normal and I have Cass and Ed-E. It's not even a fair fight, maybe my guns just suck? I have what I thought were pretty powerful guns but they do very little damage to the Nightkin. Where do I find Arcade Gannon?

Someone traded in a black label Silent Hill in nice condition tonight. I've never played it before and have wanted it for a long time. If I'd had 50 bucks, I so totally would have bought it. I would have offered him 20 bucks for it (we gave him 3) but that's a big no-no. He had a few nice PS1 games and we gave him around 15 for the lot (if they want cash, as this guy did, we give half what they would get for store credit).

In truth, I'm turning in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Since the manager quit a few weeks ago (he got written up for opening the store 2 hours late one Saturday morning and took the write-up as a personal affront) things have been going downhill. The new manager they hired is a 40 something nerd who still literally lives in his parent's basement but the final straw came tonight. Under normal circumstances, there are 4 of us - a manager and three grunts. I am the only girl. There was a sign above the toilet that nicely and roundaboutly asked users to be thoughtful for the person who is tasked to clean the bathroom on weekends so please clean your piss off the seats. Well, now the sign is gone and there is piss all over the seat. Aaaaand guess who they tasked to clean that motherfucker. Oh hell no! I make minimum fucking wage. You assholes don't pay me enough to clean some slob's piss off a fucking toilet. I don't play the girl card very often but all three of us grunts were in the store today (because managers don't work weekends, you see) and I was the only one tasked with such a disgusting chore. It ain't gonna happen.

Oh and they only scheduled me for 9 hours for the week that starts tomorrow. That won't even pay my electric bill. I could make more at fucking McDonald's.

Sorry for not PMing you but yes, you can buy a Wii points card at your nearest fine retailer and use them to buy games on the Virtual Console. All the classics like SMB 1, 2 & 3! All of the Zeldas up to and including Majora's Mask. I don't know if Contra is on there but it wouldn't surprise me. Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I haven't been on it in a long ass time but they have oodles of games. We have 2 Wiis. One doesn't play discs anymore but it has literally hundreds of dollars worth of VC games on it so we obviously kept it. You can use your credit card too I think but I'm not sure how secure that is.

Hes at the Mormon Fort in Freeside. You need speech skill of 75 or the Confirmed Bachelor perk for him to follow you, then you can get his quests, etc. I have Cass and Rex right now, Rex is an awesome companion. You can get the Remnant Power Armor helmet in a mine I think. The best weapons to use against the Nightkin are the Grenade Machine Gun or the Plasma Caster. If youre having trouble with Nightkin on level 22 you either severely misplaced your perks and skill sets or your difficulty is too hard.

Any nerds like me playing League of Legends? It's a free to play Defense of the Ancients game. You can buy skins and "Champions" but you can buy more Champions with in-game currency and not spend a cent on it. They're making they're money off the uber-nerds who need different skins and impatient children that don't want to play for the extra champions. I haven't paid for shit and I'm having a great time. The champions you can get for aren't necessarily better than the rotating free-ones you start with, but they are different. If anyone wants to play, let me know so I can send you a refer a friend.

Ok, so I have to talk about Super Meat Boy, anyone else played this yet? I bought it off of the Xbox Live Arcade after seeing a couple positive reviews for it and now it's one of my favorite games of the year. This always happens to me, there will be all of these great AAA games that I'm playing and then I'll get blown away by a arcade title that ends up stealing all of my game time. It happened with Braid and Shadow Complex too.

Super Meat Boy so far has been a blast and it is just dripping with retro gaming nostalgia, from the graphics to the excellent sound track. If you're unfamiliar with it, its a 2D platformer in the style of the old Mario and Mega Man games. It's got some great humor, it looks really good, the controls are better than probably anything else I've played recently, but more than anything else it is fucking hard.

But not hard in the super cheap way that just pisses you off, it's hard in the way that makes you feel like you really accomplished something. There are supposedly 300+ levels, but each level is at most a minute long and more often than not levels can be beat in 20 seconds. I've been through most of the light world levels, but there are dark world versions of each level (which are fucking ridiculous) and then a ton of warp zones of which I have only found 2.

It's something like $10 on xbox live right now, I 100% recommend it.

You know what I've found about New Vegas, is I feel like *both* guns and energy weapons have been badly nerfed. Whereas you can knock the Nightkin's heads clean off with a single uppercut from a Ballistic Fist.

I made my old standard guns-then-energy-weapons character for my first try, and I found the Deathclaw quarry utterly unbeatable, no matter what I did. Then I made myself an unarmed "boxer" type of character, and beat the crap out of them at level 13.

For the same reason, Cass really isn't a very good companion. Get Veronica.
