    Check out this site: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/champion/tristana-10

Basically lists different people's opinions of build and skill training orders. Makes a HUGE difference at low levels where people usually don't bother looking at that sort of stuff.

That site is a little much, but its pretty fucking easy to just look at the LoL Guides & Strategy board. Some of the links are forum posts, some of them linkout to other websites. It's where I get most of my builds, they work pretty well and of course you can make adjustments to them as you see fit. Some of them are outdated, but some of them are also the first updated with item changes. The best part of the builds is they get detailed in the why's of the builds and situational alternatives. After reading a few you get the pattern and can mix your own shit up from there.

This acronym guide helps a lot, so you know what people are saying when they shout out the random chat convo.

So are these farmville/cityville games legit? I currently dont have a console and I need a VPN just to get on facebook but Im hankering for some games. I couldnt count the hours I spent playing Sim City 2000 and Sim Farm when I was younger. Are they any good? Are they like the Sim games? Are they worth the inevitable virus?

Just had a 23/8/5 game. I routinely beat double teams and even survived a few triple teams. Basically, this was me:

No they're not, if you're going to play one of those types of games though it may as well be Travian since there's at least a sense of difficulty. Though I highly recommend not playing that one either.

If you're desperate to play games, just go on Kongregate or ArmorGames. At the very least, there's much better stuff there than some crappy sim.

And if you really want to play a sim, this is probably the best one I have ever seen.

Dead Space 2 comes out this week. If it's half as good as it's predecessor I'll buy it.

Plus I'm burned out on Black Ops.

Ditto. I've decided to cut way back on it a few weeks. I can handle 3-bar connections only so much. Since the semester started, I've decided to chill out with Assassin's Creed 2. Whenever I finish the story, I want to pick up Brotherhood. Not only does the story look sweet (and I can see why Ezio has quickly become such a popular character since starting AC2), but word is with some people that the multiplayer is more fun than Black Ops. Given that I'm partial to stealth play, as opposed to "shoot and blow shit up," I'd really like to give it a try. Black Ops is heavily connection-based, so I'd like to find a multiplayer experience that can't be cut off at the knees by poor p2p connection. Can anyone vouch for AC:B on that one?

Do you have an Xbox or a PS3?

I'll say this about AC: Brotherhood online play. It does, on occasion, get glitchy. The two biggest pain in the ass examples are when the system seems to refuse to load a game even when there are enough players. I've sat for five minutes waiting for it to load, and it just fucking wouldn't. The other annoyance is when I'll be playing and it won't give me an assassination target. In this particular game, if you don't have a target, you can't do shit. It doesn't let you assassinate an NPC to get a new target, so you have to run around until the guy hunting you kills you. If you don't have anyone hunting you at the moment, you're just fucked for the rest of the game.

Now, these don't happen that often. I'd say each has happened to me twice since I've stared playing online. However, when they do, they can be really frustrating, especially when the game glitches and doesn't give you a target. I will say that even with these glitches, I still play online regularly, when I'm not playing Uncharted. Fuck I wish I'd gotten that game a long time ago.

I'm on the Xbox. I'm assuming the multiplayer is available on both consoles? I know the PS3 version has some sort of PS3 exclusive content, but I don't know what that entails.

Also, I asked about BioShock a few days ago, but can someone tell me what it compares to, so I know what I'd be getting into? The impression I get, from reading the summary and looking at screenshots/trailers, is "Fallout 3, minus the RPG aspect and set underwater." Am I on to something there?

I've got a PS3 and looking for a Diablo type game for it. I've played the Marvel Universe stuff and enjoyed it, I'm looking for something along those lines actions wise, but with weapons/equipment options. I've also played Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance, enjoyed it but the skill progression was more linear than I'd like. I've read up on Dante's Inferno, but it didn't really seem that great. Any thoughts?

Hell no. BioShock is a linear FPS with RPH elements and the option to backtrack to restock on items and what not or get things you've missed. Your aim is your aim, not a calculation. You have your guns which are upgradable, utility skills that make it easier to hack or dodge security systems and "magic" damage skills called plasmids. There's no equipment or armor upgrades per-se, but there are resistances to fire, ice, and electricity.

Its a great fucking game. A splash of survivor horror because the atmosphere is deep, you never have any real help, and you never, ever have a stockpile of ammo. But overall hard to explain, but the game is fun as hell. But definitely a FPS base with other elements wonderfully added on.

The PS3 version includes DS: Extraction, which was the on-the-rails shooter they released on the Wii in 2009. Is is the prequel to the first Dead Space, showing the fall of the Ishimura. Hopefully they fixed the problem with the fucking reticule covering up what you were shooting at.

Wasnt sure if I was gonna put this here or in the Youtube All Stars thread, but since its based on a popular game here it is. Its a fan-made Half-Life short film. And ya know what? This 11 minute film was better than almost all the Hollywood movies I saw in 2010.

I don't know if Im going to fall for the shiny graphics this time around. Ive been wholly disappointed with the first two games. Most everything about these games have been underwhelming. Clunky uninspired weapons, insanely linear gameplay, zero depth, and completely forgettable stories and characters. I can't really say much about the online play, I played maybe a handful of times the day before I got MW2.

Gamespot's review of Dead Space 2 is up: Video.

The game looks freaking awesome, and the first one was great. I posted the video for one specific reason though...is the person doing the review a man or a woman?!

I just watched the IGN review for Borderlands and it calls it a Diablo like FPS. I'm not a fan of FPS games, but I might get this one. It doesn't hurt that Blockbuster Video (if there are still any left near you) is selling used copies for $9.99.

I've played Borderlands, and I wouldn't make that comparison at all. Borderlands incorporates some RPG elements into an FPS, but it's absolutely nothing like Diablo in terms of mechanics or lameplay. It's a good game, but very different than Diablo.

Which was fortunate for me, because I think both Diablo games kind of sucked.
