    From wiki:

Pepe's is a busy establishment, and New Havenites will cheerfully wait in line outside the restaurant for hours in all kinds of weather.[16] Having to wait to be seated is almost as much of a New Haven tradition as the pizza itself.[16] Pepe's is also a major tourist attraction in New Haven.[18]
1999: Pepe's was named to the James Beard Foundation's list of "America's Classics".[19]
2006: Pepe's is acknowledged on the History Channel's "American Eats' show as the originator of New Haven-style pizza in 1925.[20]
2009: Pepe's was named the "Best Pizza on Earth" by The Guardian.[21]
Food correspondent for GQ magazine Alan Richman names Pepe's the 12th best pizza in the country in the May issue.[22]
Connecticut Magazine named Pepe's the best in the state.[23]

New Jersey has the highest population density in the country. Also the highest property taxes, I think.

I remember reading somewhere that Albuquerque has the most restaurants per capita than any other city in the US. I can't confirm the validity of that, but it's interesting. There are a lot of good restaurants. . . but also a lot of really, really shitty restaurants.

Anyone from Scranton will tell you we have the best wings. It's possible that this isn't true, but you can't argue that no one makes wings like we do. Everyone here grew up eating wings a certain way (crispy skin, meat without a lot of fat, only enough sauce to make it soak in to the chicken, smothered in bleu cheese) so when we go somewhere else and order wings, they're never the same.

I live in Atlanta. I've heard that we're the strip club capital of the world. I think we have something like 55-60 in the city. I've only been to 3, and the experiences have been hit or miss.

I think the only "best of" I've found in the DFW area is the fried chicken at Babe's.

And the locals should be slapped for what they call "great pizza." There are a few decent pizzas down here, but nothing even close to Lombardi's in NY or Pepe's in New Haven (and Gino's East for deep dish).

I could be way wrong, but I thought I heard somewhere that Muncie is home to a high rate of organized crime. Besides that, any high school basketball enthusiasts ought to go to a Muncie Central game sometime.

Everyone knows that New York has the best pizza, bagels, deli, and Chinese food outside of China, but what people may not know is that my hometown, New Paltz, has the best apple cider donuts in the ENTIRE WORLD. Specifically the farm that's at the top of my road, but I'm not going to give away that name because that's just too much specific information about my life. I crave those donuts year-round.

I live in Mass but I'll give Rhode Island its props as having the best strip clubs in the US (not the world though).

What does Mass have? Shitty driving in bad weather despite bad weather that comes around every year.

Pennsylvania has the most Klans Members out of all the states in the Union. Not the highest rate, mind you. But the most.

When you think about it, what more does a state really need? Best Pizza? Pfft!

Other's can claim it, but Kansas city has the best barbeque. Even Anthony Bourdain agrees. I'll back up his praise for Oklahoma Joe's.

Regarding the In n Out vs Five Guys debate, I really wish I had enjoyed my trips to In n Out as much as I was supposed to. I was expecting the skies to light up, angels to appear with their harps, and my tastebuds to be treated as they never had before. What I got was ....OK.

I've had In-and-Out twice, and will agree it didn't blow me away.

I liken it to Chik-fil-a: you hear so much about how awesome it is, and how it's going to give your tastebuds rimjobs and after you're done eating you'll poop purple clovers you can put right back into a bowl of lucky charms, but it never meets expectations. For.. some odd reason.

It's about the consistent experience and making it a comfort food. I can conjure up the smell of Chik-fil-a and make myself hungry at any given time. Can't do that for In-and-Out. I can do it for Five Guys, but Chik-fil-a still wins.

focus: Chik fil a is from atlanta. yay! We also have the best gay black people in the country, and strip clubs. There are probably a dozen I could walk to from my house. Strip clubs, not gay black men.

Anthony Bourdain is unreliable. I think his preference for barbeque changes with his mood as seen here and here where he chooses Carolina style barbeque over Kansas City.

I see you all mention Chipotle and Qdoba as the go to fast food Mexican options. I disagree. Although it is not as widely distributed, it is getting there. Panchero's is easily better than both, mainly because it offers fresh pressed and freshly made tortillas that cannot simply be beat.

It was started in Iowa City, and it is spreading out across America. It is one of the few things that Iowa has going for it on a national level, especially after losing to Minnesota in football last week. If you like Chipotle/Qdoba, but happen to see a Panchero's, go give it a shot. I am probably kind of biased because I grew up on it, but I have never had a better burrito from Chipotle or Qdoba than I have from Panchero's.

I'm sorry, but anything related to fast food is not "best of" material. Even if it's a race between various other chains. No bueno.

Clearly I live in Manchester, NH because we have the greatest poutine. So if you like fries covered with gravy, cheese curds and other assorted shit, you've found your mecca.

Agreed 100%. I've only had In n Out once, mostly because I'm much more east coast then west coast, but that one time was incredibly average. Maybe I got a bad burger or something, and yes, I ordered off that stupid "secret menu" bullshit, but it was aggressively mediocre. And the fries actually sucked. Say what you will about Five Guys burgers but their fries are, without a doubt, the best fast food fries out there.

In Minnesota, we've got the second biggest mall in the world. And it fucking sucks. If you live here and like the Mall (as we refer to it...), I automatically hate you. It's the same shit you can find anywhere else only all in one spot and with a lot of dumb, fat, obnoxious tourists surrounding you to spice up the experience! Yay!

EDIT: Just saw this pop up on my Facebook. In n Out, straight to your door anywhere in the country, for the low, low price of $56!
