    Every time you post something, I'm reminded of the hair curling photo. I'm sorry to say that my impression of you has been tainted by haircare practices.

    I just realized that, thanks to some creative vacation scheduling, this is the last Friday that I will work in 2011. Liquid lunch to celebrate? Fuck yes.

    Never made it to the strip club. My sister is really sick. It started out as a nasty cold. Since then, she has completely lost the vision in her left eye. It won't even respond to light. They have done an MRI on her to rule out MS or a tumor. She has an elevated white blood cell count. They haven't gotten the other results back yet. I need some happy thoughts.

    It is not a good situation, it has been addressed and changes have been made.

    Those folks who work in mortuary services have a very hard job to do and for the most part they do an excellent job.
    When soldiers get blown up, sometimes bodies parts get fused.
    I believe I read the parts that can't be identified are now cremated and given a proper burial at sea.

    We had an organizational meeting yesterday from Director level on down, and she started the meeting with a pep talk that went something like this:

    "This is the season for spending time with family; so feel free to come in late, or leave early, or do whatever you need to do - I want you to feel entitled."

    ...so I'll be doing 6 hour days the rest of the fiscal year. Either she's really appreciative of all the work we've done, or she's going to snap the whip first thing after New Year's, or she's buttering us up for a really bad bonus.

    Random question, does anybody set their alarm clock for earlier than they need to get up specifically so you can hit snooze a bunch of times? My roommate does this, and I'm completely baffled by it.

    If I wake up and I have that "I want nothing more than to go back to sleep" feeling, and I hit snooze, I still feel just as shitty five minutes later when I wake up again. If I can sleep for another hour maybe I'll have an easier time getting up, but hitting snooze four times just makes no sense. Instead of having the awful "fuuuuuck I don't want to get up" feeling once, you have it four times.
