I'm at a Sheetz (Shitz?) station somewhere in bumfuck Pennsylvania. My sister is probably somewhere being gang raped by truckers. My moms throwin up because she's a bitch. My dads hallucinating deer in the road. It can't get any better than this.

    Also, half plus seven.

    11 + 7 = 18.

    Perfect.

10 years ago today I had my first real beer, a Sierra Nevada pale ale.

I was just a teenager, but I was astounded at how amazing it tasted. After nothing but Corona it was heaven.

Every year we celebrate the day I had my first real beer. We now call that day "Thanksgiving".

So, I'm not seeing any family today. I'm working 10-2 so everyone else can get out of there at a decent time and see their families, and since mom's family is an hour away and eating at 1...yeah. Better yet, this means I won't be in Cinci to back up my brother if her family starts shit with him.

That said, I'm thankful to have a job, and eternally grateful I have a brother to watch out for.

And I'm not one for lots of Christmas music, but I teared up to this a bit this morning:

    Happy Thanksgiving, you fuckers.

Making glazed carrots, have to go to my SIL's house at 1.

Let the drinking commence at 12:30? Yes, I think so.

Ahhhh, Thanksgiving. A day of ridiculous consumption and making small talk with the in-laws. Bring it on.

Also, my in-laws typically only allow me to bring a salad to these types of events. Granted, I do make a kick ass salad, but I just can't help but feel a little insulted. However, sitting here sipping coffee while watching the Macy's Parade (where is that fucking remote again) instead of cooking all morning isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Baileys should be sweet and creamy enough to stand on it's own in coffee. Plus alcoholic so it is like the trifecta of additives!

Baileys is all you need man. It's sweet enough where you dont need cream or sugar, especially of you like the harder taste.

I'm on a bus! Wooo! Let's hope that my brilliant idea of traveling on Thanksgiving Day doesn't backfire terribly. In any event, I'm trying to look extra mean so nobody takes this still empty seat next to me...

Quick edit: SUCCESS. Now, how to amuse myself for the next five hours? A little FF7? Books I've already read? Seeing the sexiest thing I can find allowable by this bus's wifi?

I may have spoken too soon.

Apparently I can't. Just as the bus was pulling off somebody sat down. There were two empty seats left, and the guy across from me pulled out the "oh, I know we just got on this bus five seconds ago, but I'm already fast asleep" move.

    Wily mongoose.

I am looking forward to it. The sun has been down here for 2 hours, we've eaten, and now the coma begins.

And, I was given about 20 bucks to online gamble with as a reward for my cooking and won 200 euro. They must know, don't screw with America today.
