    I would love to, but I have the Martian death flu of allergy fuckery happening right now. On a positive note, I met with my academic adviser today. I got classes picked out, and finally chose my major. I was waffling between secondary education, and English. I chose secondary education for those of you who are interested. And you chemists, accountants, and lawyerly types with hard majors can kindly shut your faces. Someone needs to teach your evil children how to bastardize our native language.

    That reminds me of the time that I broke an almost full bottle of Captain Morgan 100 proof (great stuff, by the way).
    I was at a friend's outdoor birthday party, and I had just poured myself my first drink, and I set the bottle down on the trunk of a car. However, the trunk was kind of sloped, and the bottle slid right off.
    That ruined my mood for the evening.

    Cheap gin is a huge mistake. If you can't afford to buy decent gin, you can't afford to buy gin at all.

    Total buzzkill, that is.

    I think the bottle was like $12 for a liter and there were only a couple inches in the bottom left.

    It just goes to show what kind of day it has been. I woke up from a 4 hour nap (tired from exams and getting pretty sick these last 2 days), put on my robe and fuzzy ducky slippers, drop a bottle of gin, and just stand there as the puddle starts moving towards me. No emotion.

    To Gravy, considering I want to be a high school English teacher, I think secondary education is the way to go. If there is a reason that is a bad choice I would really like to hear it. I haven't declared yet, and some advice from people who actually paid attention during college would be greatly appreciated.

    By the way, I have complete respect for you people who went to college without the benefit of an athletic department. Registration dates, hell registration in general, application fees, full classes, actually planning your own academic schedule, all of these things were were concerns for other people my first time around. So any tips on taking care of the minutia that I simply did not have to cope with would be very helpful.

    You are more likely to get a job teaching elementary school kids if you are a guy. There is a huge lack of male elementary school teachers and a surplus of middle/high school male teachers.
    A lot of states will let you teach a higher level than your education is geared for if you simply pass their qualification exams. Might be a better way to guarantee you a job in the teaching field and then allow you to move into a job that is more to your liking a little further down the road.

    Not sure if that factors into your decision at all, but just something to mull over.
