    So is there an actual purpose to this hashtag thing? Is it just people trying to be cute with non spaced one liners? I really do not know what hash tagging does....

    Hash tagging was started as a way to track topics in Twitter, since it's so fragmented that there's no way to actually look at conversation trends. It's actually pretty interesting (IMO) since it evolved totally out of the community - it was not functionality that was originally built into Twitter. People just started doing it.

    So if you wanted to see what everyone was talking about on a particular subject, you could just search twitter for the hash tag - e.g. if you want to see everything about occupy wall street, you search #ows and you end up with everyone's conversational bits that they have tagged.

    It's still used for that primarily... but also for cute one liners, obviously.

    Back on a more drunk-thread-esque topic: Miranda Kerr is spectacular. You people suck at life.

    There was a girl in my computer class in 9th grade. She flipped her lid when she learned she got a B+. I quote, "I can't get below an A, my dad will beat me." I laughed once at that, then at anyone possibly failing the most useless, dumbfuck course in public school. She was hot though. Hot and nerdy Asian. Yeaaaaaah.

    In all honesty, this was one case where the teacher really was out to get her. That bitch just did not like the girl. I've never seen a teacher target a student with such coldness. The girl was neurotic and a know-it-all at times, but, hey, you just got done saying nobody participated. So fuck off.

    An Asian girl in my high school flipped her shit when she got a B in band class. After a screaming and crying tirade she locked herself in the auditoriums light booth and refused to come out. She ended up getting suspended I think or a solid few days of detention.
