    My friends all said they looked for sweaters and thrift stores and couldn't find anything. The guy throwing the party found a website with some pretty bad/awesome sweaters, but I didn't really want to pay $25 + shipping for a sweater I would never wear again.

    I wish y'all had said something earlier. I have an ugly Christmas sweater I never intend to wear again, and I'd happily give it to whomever asked first. Probably a bit too late now, though.

    I bought it for an ugly Christmas sweater party last year, and I won the contest for two reasons. First, it is fucking ugly, with some weird multicolor snow-flakes. Second, it was entirely too small for me. I am calling bullshit on it being an XL, or it had to have been dried and shrunk. I put it on this year and it was still pretty small, and I've lost 40 lbs since this time last year. I think this thing just naturally fits too small, and it is annoying.

    I am eating a slice of cake. Not just any cake. It's a Southern Comfort Cake. And yes, it is as awesome as it sounds. Better as a matter of fact. I have seen more cookies, candies and such here than I have since my Grandma and GreatGrandma were alive. Gotta love (and a dab of hate) working with older ladies that bake non-stop over the holidays.

    We shut down at 12:30 today. After that the SO and I are off to the bars Christmas party. It's a good thing to be included in this event, right?

    Maybe you should just head to the suburbs. After going to a doctor's appointment in Suburbia, I ran a quick errand to the mall nearby. It was flooded with suburbanites in tacky Christmas sweaters. None of them were worn ironically.

    Yeah, it is, and while I like Die Hard, I'm hoping HBO runs 'Badder Santa' sometime before the holiday.

    I was always partial to Christmas Vacation, but I've seen it a gazillion times. Badder Santa is the way to go.

    Jesus, what a pain in the ass, I got my wife an ipod for Christmas (among other things) - so I've been surreptitiously downloading her cd's on to my itunes. Since I don't know what specific songs she likes (and most of it is crap anyway and not fit to hang out with my good music, though I have yet to figure out a way to make it hang out in a different part of itunes - and yes, I have a separate playlist for her entitled 'VI's Wife's Crappy Music') I have been downloading disc after disc.

    Jesus, she better appreciate this shit, it's taken about 3 or 4 hours so far. And I'm still not done.

    Ho fuckin' ho.

    Holy crap, I just checked the Christmas Day weather where I used to live in Santa Monica, 75 degrees. Fuck me, that is warm for Christmas.

    Granted, here it is going to be a record temperature of nearly 50.
