I'm hoping my mom's husband will share a bit of his Woodford Reserve. Failing that, I'll probably fall back on your namesake.

If loving a nearly 10 minute instrumental outtake version of a song is wrong............

Well, I just don't wanna be right.

I'm aggressively drinking alone. Combination of a shitty year including considering proposing to the (then) gf, and current anxiety from waiting to hear back about a job offer and just in general wanting to know what I'm doing with my life/where I'll be next week. Ugh. Titties.

Ah how awesome it is to come home for Christmas to a little backwoods retard town with nothing to do. Really hope this transfer comes through, I'm sick of my job.

I truly wish I had this week off for some irresponsible behavior. Instead, I'm spending all day every day on the phone with insurance companies. Did you know that automated phone systems can be rude?

Drinking with my pets tonight and hoping you people will become entertaining.

    How do you define "entertaining?"

My kids are about to go to bed, mostly because my youngest just requested Who let the Dogs out? Auditory abuse is not okay.

Activity commensurate with my level of intoxication?

And/or various inflammatory topics of conversation?

Whatever I can order from the bar on NYE. A bunch of my buddies and I are going to Chicago for NYE and got tickets to one of the bars. Anyone do this before? I'm guessing I should get there loaded before I even attempt to make headway into the bar.

Not sure about Sat night but tonight was a bit of wine, some glorious Bud Lights and since I had a few left over from my wisdom teeth surgery, two 500mg pills of Vicoden.

Got Maker's Mark right now. I'm used to "meh" booze, (My roommate is partial to Sailor Jerry) so I'm enjoying myself.

Question - is it strange that I drink all of my booze straight, regardless of what it is? I can't stand rum and Coke; I'll just drink rum, maybe with a little ice. Growing up, my parents had absolutely no mixers in the house, (Our fruit beverage of choice was apple cider. I invite you to experiment, but I doubt you can find any liquor that goes with apple cider) so my booze drinking consisted of filling up a glass with booze and sipping on it while doing homework. Then again, my dad's liquor cabinet consisted of Knob Creek, Baker's, and Macallan, so I was kinda spoiled. But now, thanks to that, it just doesn't feel like drinking if I put a mixer in. I'm easily able to hold my liquor when I'm drinking it straight; the burn means that it's working, and more burn means that it's working faster. Drinking mixed drinks usually ends with me knife-handing a cactus and yelling about how it's a disgrace to cacti everywhere.

I actually had some Maker's with apple cider a couple weeks ago. It tasted pretty fucking good.

Also, you don't hold your liquor better when you drink it straight. You are probably just not drinking as much as fast as you would if you decided to drink it mixed.

Whiskey+cider=deliciousness (also the basis for mulled cider)

When you drink straight liquor, you think about what you're drinking. When you drink mixed drinks, you don't, so you get deee-runk really fast. Unless you're me and tequila.

Wait...you're saying you are immune to tequila? I'm missing something here.

No, I usually drink tequila with a splash of lime juice and it's so delicious that I drink it really fast and end up BOMBED incredibly quickly. But yet, I never learn.

I used to like drinking tequila straight. Then I went to Juarez and had....a rather undignified night drinking their well tequila that was probably somewhere closer to rubbing alcohol. I stayed away for a couple years when I decided to be extra douchey and buy a bottle of patron. Cue another night that I wish I would have drunk enough not to remember. Never again.
