That whole band was phenomenal. They really did some stellar music, sad to watch the pieces attempt to continue on. I'd love to see them get back together, but I can't blame anyone for not wanting to work with Axl, I'd want to keep what sanity I had left as well.

I don't have much of an explanation for why that post made me think of this, but to really get all the cheesy pop of our age, you need to stretch back to the mid 90s.

TLC is my joint. RIP Lisa Lopes

As a pharmacist, I'm sure you can make that work. And there's a black and blue joke in there somewhere.

And now that I can say I'm a pharmacist (and not an intern, and not "well, I finished my internship, and I faxed in my registration a few weeks ago...") you're damn fucking right I can make that work.

I think the 90's dance tunes had such a great groove, and original beats. The producers sounded like they were actually trying hard to make a listenable song, and there were SHITLOADS of fuck anthems and sappy ballads.

This one still always gets 'em:

This one is better than awesome:

Seriously? No-one on this place is up for a drunken G+ Hangout?

    Yikes.

Either it's me (quite possible) or this place is slipping...

Is it wrong to still be drinking once sunrise has happened? Thoughts?

I saw Slash and his band early last year and from the reports I heard about the Gunners concert up my way he was clearly the better part of the band. Slash's show was unreal and I heard nothing but bad reports about Axl.

I think I may have stumbled across the future Mrs. 007

It would work beautifully because I would actually *want* to listen to how her day went.

"So what did you do today, honey?"
"Oh nothing...........................JUST FUCKING DRESSED UP LIKE A SUPERHERO ALL DAY LONG!"

    Sweeeeeeet.

Mitts off Durbanite, I found her first.

I thought I read somewhere that they were going to get the group back together for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction! I'm too tired and lazy to look for confirmation so take an idiots word for what it's worth.

Don't bet on that. When Slash holds a grudge, he hold a grudge. Usually he still only refers to Axl as "That Redhead".

The talent he HAS in the new version of GnR is talent indeed, including Buckethead and Robin Finke but it's NOT GnR. Chinese Democracy really wasn't that bad of an album, but when you delay one nearly two decades of course its not going to live up to standards.

That's me behind the drummer on the right. My first acting gig:

Best song by far off Doggystyle:

Do they also allow sorting by those who did and did not attend catholic school? Now that would be an interesting statistic to see.

TiB'ers, can I make a request? So I'm doing an experiment in a month or so in which I will play a series of games with human subjects (aside: calling people "my subjects" or "my specimen" is awesome). I just wrote a draft of the instructions I will be reading aloud during each lab session. I have to make sure I explain the games in a way that doesn't take too much time, but is also understandable by regular people who have never studied any Economics. Does anyone want to give it a read for me and tell me if they understand the games the way I have explained them? It's just a little more than two pages so shouldn't take more than 5-10 mins of your time. Any takers?

I was an undergrad Econ major at a school with a pretty decent Econ program, but I also spent most of undergrad drinking and forgot all that shit, except demand elasticity and the fact that one of my Econ professors needed to wear a bra and didn't. So yeah, hit me.

Related: Somebody posted a status saying, "Find out what song was number 1 on the day you were born and post it!!!!!" I was actually somewhat curious, and found out it was this:

Christ. Cheesy pop, your name is THAT song.

    Yeah? I'm a pharmacist.

This has nothing to do with dubyu tee eff's post. I just felt like pointing it out.

Johnnie Walker Blue is kind of disappointing. I mean, sure, it's darn good scotch and all. But no way in hell would I ever pay over 200 bucks for a bottle of it.

Blondie's "Call Me" was #1 the day I was born. I don't know if that impresses me or not.
