    A friend of mine I've always thought was a bit stupid. Like not an idiot - but graphic designer with family money. Seemed a bit ditzy/clueless and not really interested/aware of anything practical. Slightly spoilt white girl artist type.

    She just showed me the books and model for her business, which grosses $50k+ a month every month for the last 5 years, as a Solo project that she built and runs single handedly. Jesus fuck. From the initial market assessment to full implementation and ongoing management - she got all working herself. I would have sworn this girl couldn't add 3 digit numbers to save herself. She's also insanely nice and super friendly. The market she's in is fucking cut throat and brutal - she's telling me stories about shit she's done to keep her market position and she's a fucking evil genius. God damn.

    Apparently the ditz is really her, she just gets smart around the business and then turns off her brain in social situations. And she thinks I can help her with this and that she can make it worth my while. God I hope she's got the numbers she's showing me - sounds a bunch more fun to work for than the stodgy shit I'm doing at the moment.

    I think what happened is that the mods are too busy with their "real lives" (whatever that means) so no threads are being created and/or accepted. Maybe there should be a new mod or two? Who makes suggestions often?

    Bars that have taco trucks in their backyards are geniuses. So far, all of my discoveries of these have guaranteed repeat business from me.

    I had my usual amount of drinks tonight, but I never felt drunk. I just feel very, very alert and can't imagine going to sleep any time soon. It's annoying.

    American's do it too. This dude is controversial b/c he swears he got his arms this big from repeatedly injecting steroids directly into them. His detractors say he injected synthol or got implants.

    I thought I'd keep working in my shop last night but ended up going to a bar with a roommate and then once we got home, another had rented The Hangover 2 so we watched it. Not too bad, but being baked always helps.

    Today is the first day in a long time that I can just stay in the basement and slowly bury myself in wood shavings and dust. The only shitty part is keeping a respirator on my face because of carbon fiber but shit, if it keeps people away it's for the better. I need a quiet day to myself to relax before I go like hell on the phone at work this week.
