    I still maintain that Marshall is the only decent human being among them, although Barney does at least have the excuse of having a whole mess of traumatic formative experiences.

    Marshall is a big lovable goofball. Barney is hilarious and unpredictable. If it were just Lilly and Marshall that would be boring (Ted doesn't even count).

    I could in fact put baby girl in a car seat, but the car is with her mother, and I'm in no fit condition to drive anyway.

    I could see being great buddies with Marshall. However, the show wouldn't be as interesting without the antics of Barney. That is why I value his comedy more.
