I just don't answer unknown numbers. But, when it's a text asking something innocuous and it's plausible it's someone I actually knew years ago, I'll respond. It's a once-in-a-blue-moon situation.

I'm not sure how that series could be worse.

So many vampire shows. I have been watching True Blood lately. The only thing I am sure of is if female vampires were real, I would be a corpse in about two minutes.

Few gingers do it well, and she does. Holy shit that look means business.

I spent the past four hours in my shop cutting in two small mortises. Gahhh where's a cold beer to hold in my hands.

Anybody else frying a turkey? I recently moved to the midwest and was surprised to find that none of Mrs. ADD's family had ever had fried turkey. Surely this isn't a southern tradition.

We grill. Lots of hickory chips in there too. Slow indirect heat with lots of smoke and a simple coating produces a phenomenal bird.

I saw a thingy in a Martha Stewart mag for a drink: red wine, cherry liqueur, and ginger ale. I had red wine, sprite, and grenadine. It's drinkable. Drunkable even.

I feel bad for what I wrote before. I luuuurve my family. They just drive me crazy. They have also instilled a fantastic guilt complex, which is outing itself right now. Happy Thanksgiving!

You're wondering if frying food that isn't meant to be fried is somehow a bastion of Southern cuisine? Perish the thought, sir.

Re: The EPIC Turkey Day Drunk Thread

I was going to try this last year, but there was no safe place to do it. I probably won't ever try it because last year was the last year I will ever do my huge thanksgiving feast.

    I spent 2 days making
    Turkey
Apple Pie from apples from the tree in the backyard
Pumpkin pie from an actual pumpkin
    Cranberry sauce
    Stuffing
    Potatoes
    Home made rolls
    Maple Glazed Butternut squash
    Green bean casserole
    Gravy from scratch.

It was demolished in about 15 minutes. It was fucking delicious, but all that effort and stress for something that was gone that fast? Fuck it.

I'm not sure if that counts as kiddie porn.

Does the shower spray lavender-scented water?

No, but it was the first time I used conditioner in my hair in 10 years? 15, maybe? I didn't think it was possible to go to bed straight and wake up gay. Apparently it is.
