    What a great weekend.

    It's been cold (freezing, and a layer of ice is on the lake) but clear and sunny, and I've spent two days outside clearing up a shit-load of fallen trees on my property. I've run 4 tanks of gas through the chainsaw so far, and have bucked and moved and split and stacked about a chord and a half of wood.

    Time for a big bowl of venison/pork/beef chili that's been stewing for a couple of days, a couple or 5 beers, and a couch in front of the fireplace.

    Of course, I'm way too out of shape to not pay for all this "healthy living" shit, so I have no doubt it won't be long before I'll be chewing ibuprofen like they're smarties.

    Still, days like today are awesome.

    In other news, getting home at 7 in the morning then trying to watch a movie while drunk, is not good for getting sleep.

    I went rock climbing for the first time today! That shit is hard and my arms feel like I spent the day jerking off a horse. But it was a nice alternative workout.

    I am officially 39 years old today.

    I look at it this way: I have the body of a 65 year old and the emotional maturity of a 13 year old, so it averages right out to 39.

    So you ask, $100, how did you spend your birthday?

    Well, I didn't get to watch the Pats game because my wife dragged me to a fucking arts and crafts show. Then we went and got a Chrishanukwanzaa bush. The kids made and decorated gingerbread cookies (which I abhor). Tonka decided to get me out of bed this morning by jumping on my face.
