    I'm in the no flu shot and rarely get sick camp. I think the last time I caught a bug was '96 or so. Just slept a lot and didn't even miss work.
    It seems that all my friends who get flu shots are the ones who get sick more often. Maybe someone put up a poll?

    So I know it already posted in the R&R thread, but this may have more eyes on it.

    I'm leaving tomorrow morning to drive from Western NY to Southern Arizona. I'm planning on trying to do 2, 16 hour days. I loaded up on podcasts, and am planning on buying a case of redbull. Any other tips?

    This right there. I notice that it's always the same people getting sick; and it's usually women. Every year I can count on my ex-wife to get laid up with some kind of sickness, but Li'l Bandit and I just keep on truckin'.
    Some people just have stronger immune systems.

    As far as flu shots go, I've never had one and don't plan on getting one until I'm an old fart (if I ever get that old, that is). I don't make Li'l Bandit get them either; my dad gives me shit about this, but then I remind him that he and my mom never got them for me, and he backs off.
    Hell, I had to practically be dying before my mom would take me to the doctor; she grew up in the '50s, when people weren't such pussies.

    To be fair, I'm not sure there's a cause and an effect. While I don't particularly feel motivated to get a flu shot, people who do often do so because they're prone to getting sick in the first place. So they're more attuned to it in general. For instance, my wife (whom works in a hospital) has to get it, but she also tends to pick up more bugs than I do.

    In further fairness, I was also a really really sickly kid. I was sick damn near all the time from age 5 - 15, so I think I have decent immunities at this point. I get sick once a year rarely, but more often once every two to three years at this point (In my thirties, I've been sick about 5 times, I think).

    So again, not sure about the cause and effect here. People who tend to get sick probably want the shot to cut down on potential sickness, which does not lead to the conclusion that getting the shot gets you sick.

    Paradoxically, we think that people used to not be pussies back in the day before the flu vaccine, and today, people don't get the vaccine because they're afraid of a little poke and unproven mysterious bad side effects. Not being a pussy would be getting the vaccine anyways.

    Speaking of arguments, am I the only one that posts here that isn't a fan of ass, anal, or anything to do with an orifice that spews forth poop? The idea of a pair of buttocks being sexually attractive has absolutely no appeal to me. After taking two straight Event Horizon-level dumps, the thought of my sticking anything into something that potentially horrifying is enough to make me instantly impotent. No offense to the TiBettes here that seems to specialize in rock hard fart factories.

    I imagine if there was a Kinsey scale for boobs and asses, I would be 100% firmly in the titties camp.
