Re: What's Fappening? Nah, not really on the ftfy. Possibly unpopular opinion alert. Never crazy about Kelly Kuoco. Looks way too accessible to me, she looks like a normal chick. There are chicks in my apartment building that look way better than her. I used to watch 8 Simple Rules, really have only seen a few episodes of Big Bang, but I never thought "OH MAN, SHE IS ABSOLUTE FIRE!"
Yea she's not that great. Fuckable, but not super hot. The perceived attractiveness comes from the fact that she pretends to hang out with dweebs, making her approachable.
When that list came out, I didn't know who 80% of those chicks were. #1 of those girls I did not want to see naked was Aubrey Plaza. I dislike everything about her.
She is annoying as fuck. Another woman that Fat Fucking Fanboys demand society to regard as hot and talented for some reason.
Wait, there was one of Aubrey Plaza? Was she glaring? I like her in Parks and Rec, characterwise, but I haven't ever really thought about her sexually.
She was in a Daria skit that was a sexual as cancer treatment and golf, but awesome. Would I hit it? Yes. Is she in the same realm sexually as 90% of those leaked? Nope. Cuoco I never understood as hot, either. Or funny. Or redeeming as a human being. She's too believable as a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory.
Cuoco is also as shitty as an actress gets, even by prime time sitcom standards. Of course it doesn't help when you're on one of the most unfunny shows every made. She's certainly attractive, but to say she's one of the hottest women alive is just plain silly.
The thing I love about this whole debacle is first that it's being pinned on 4chan. Anon IB is a simillar forum, but isn't fucking 4chan. 4 chan was one of the first repost locations, along with 9gag and reddit, but the leak happened at anon ib, and the second is tech sports who clearly don't know what 4chan is. The write up painting 4chan as a single dude, possibly a former systems admin was fucking gold. On the topic of the Big Bang chick who's name hates autocorrect? I'm not a huge fan of her shows or her character. I'd fuck the shit out of her though. I do kind of see why she's laughing the photos off, but if I was an insecure young woman living in LA? I'd much rather have the JLaw sexy as fuck photos leaked than the ones of her. Awful angles, hair looking like she just got out of bed and wearing ugly general day wear and looking in profound need of a salon visit? Fuck that noise. JLaw's privacy was invaded as fuck, but I bet her door is being kicked down with offers to be the lead in sexualised roles. I don't know if she wants those roles, but they pay, and having half the world walking around with an erection is a lot better for an LA career than having most of the world going 'eh, not awful'. I mean I'm not calling this an advantageous event for anyone, but as shit sandwiches go? JLaw's feels less soggy.
Which part? This part? and then goes to say Because as far as I see it, that isn't unreasonable. We have an established right to privacy. However those pictures were obtained - whatever happened - it was illegal. It isn't (Thank sweet baby Jeebus) illegal to photograph your adult self doing adult self stuff and send it to another consenting adult. Which is awesome - because The Husband and I appreciate that. Even celebrities have a right to privacy. They have a right to what they do in their time when they're not selling themselves to their public. I can see why you'd say that calling someone a sexist shit-ferret is wrong, since as far as I've seen, shit-ferrets don't exist. Maybe that's what you're talking about, right?
I'm not going to get any sympathy when I leave my door unlocked, and then complain when somebody robs me while I'm at home. People need to take care of their own shit and stop playing the victim card for things that are easily preventable.
Just because you haven't locked your door doesn't mean a crime hasn't been committed. And for that matter, when somebody busts the door down or picks the lock, what's your analogy? Should've had a vault door with a combination determined by the degradation of a radioactive isotope backed up against retinal imaging, fingerprint scanning and triple-checked by pheromones that tell the computer what phase of your menstrual cycle you're in?
I know this isn't the popular sentiment but I think it sucks that any mention of preventative steps these days, this goes particularly for rape, elicits a wild dialog stopping response from people who refuse to hear anything but "we need to focus entirely on the perpetrators alone." The mere suggestion of preventative steps becomes "stop victim blaming aaargggiiiiiiaaaayaaa!!!!!!!!!" I think most would agree stopping perpetrators of crimes need to be focused on. I think we can agree there is a subset of the people saying "don't want nudes online? don't take them" are judging the victim because they think sex is dirty or a sin. Beyond that, I really don't see how it hurts to tell anyone, that while it is your right to take nudes and share them with consenting adults, taking some precautions might prevent them from being seen by the general public.
Nothing is foolproof of course but take photos on digital cameras with memory cards instead of phones that auto save your shit on cloud based databases? Someone would have to physically steal the memory card. Not as easy to share with a S/O but it would seem there would be fewer points of access to it than if it were on a phone connected to the internet.
Where there's a will to steal, there's a way. The Tommy & Pamela sex tape was stolen from a locked gun safe in their house. When they sued, they were told that the tape was "Legal for public viewing because they're famous". How fucked is that?
Yep, well sort of. There's a modern range of Polaroid cameras that are basically digital cameras with a tiny printer built into them.
