    Please, please read 'Brave New World' if you haven't already. Orwell and Huxley both believed that as a society - we were basically fucked and illustrated that through a dystopian future - but their predictions for the future were wildly different.

    I blame the American public school system for my lack of dystopian awareness. All we read was 1984 and Animal Farm. The truth is Brave New World has been on my "to read" list for a while, the problem is said list is 40 books deep right now. I'll get to it by Christmas break.
