And by that I didn't mean make an offer then retract it before I even had a chance to look at it. On the plus side, man have I had some good D/ST juju going on. My pick up to cover my normal "good for 20 weekly points" D/ST on their bye week netted me 26 points. Thanks Rams!
Yeah...I just don't know if there is a trade between our teams. Let me take another look at something that isn't just swapping big WR's.
Hey - if it's not working for you, don't force it. I actually don't despise anybody on my team at the moment. Maybe that means it is a perfect time to mix it all up. Maybe Karlos Williams but since he got a concussion the moment I got him, I just don't know yet. He's just a hope dangling out there having me wonder what could be.
I totally didn't notice that Rob had a kicker going today as well. I thought it was just Floyd. Sucks to lose this game, but it's awesome that I traded away DeMarco Murray, who got 8 points and got CJ2k who got 20. If he could breakoff one more huge play before this game is over it'd be nice.
I'm playing MoreCowbell this week, I could not be more excited. I can't wait to be deathly hungover on Sunday from Halloween yelling at my computer screen.
Looks like DMC is gonna be the real deal starter in Dallas http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...-discipline-violating-personal-conduct-policy You runningback hungry foolios might want to send poppop some trade nibbles
Every year, we say "don't trade with Cowbell he will fleece you for everything you're worth" And every year people trade with him EVERY YEAR
Matt Ryan and J. Maclin for AJ Green, is that something that actually looks like a fair trade based on need? By golly it might be! This looks fair on paper. AJ Green is only 8 points better than Maclin so far and the Chiefs schedule should be getting easier. Charcandrick West is a real RB so maybe Alex Smith can get the ball to someone like Maclin? And for the record, I already fleeced MoreCowbell with our last trade, still no fucking clue why he agreed to that. Not sure he understood how bad the Eagles are. @Popped Cherries , now that we have a Varsity and JV League, I think we should add a relegation system. If you don't make spots 1-8 we should kick 9-12 down to the JV and bring up the top 4 for the Varsity. Top 4 out of the guys that aren't already in Varsity, so if you do well in JV you can get promoted. The actual practice of this will be more like "first right of refusal" to join the Varsity league. So if they want to stay in JV, they can, but if they want to, they get the spot over the bottom 4 and not only because they responded first or second.
Because I had absolutely no faith that CJ2K would continue to be the man in Arizona. This is a dude who barely made an NFL roster this season and couldn't hold on to the gig in New York last year, how the hell did he become a top 10 back? I assumed CJ2K had like, two more good weeks left in him before ashes went to ashes and dust to dust with him receding into platoon status with Ellington and DJohnson. I tried to sell high on him, Palmer, and Barnidge while they were unsustainably hot. Not exactly working out right now, in part because Popped Cherries paid off those mean men on the Vikings to give Maclin a boo-boo right before I acquired him. When Palmer inevitably tears every single tendon in his body and Chris Johnson remembers it isn't 2009 anymore, maybe it turns around. I also figured the Eagles and Murray had been sufficiently bad that they'd hit floor and could only go up. Either way, I turned a menagerie of waiver wire pickups into AJ Green and DeMarco Murray, so I ain't that mad overall. Now if only I could figure out what to do with Alfred Morris and LeGerette Blount.
I actually wanted to do something like this, but we would need to have a pretty set roster between the two and more of a locked league. I'm going to make some changes next year so I'll see what I can do to make something like this happen. For now, I'll let you bask in the glory of starting the patriots offense and it working out for you. Should have gone full ham and done their defense too. Non-believer...
I didn't think of my words in that context until pointed out here and in text. So, in response, I kind of despise the guy, I usually don't believe media hype about people too much but am quite sure that Tom Brady is the smug, arrogant, self centered asshole that most think him to be. With that being said, would I??? Oh dear god yes. What I lack in 6 feet tall model legs, I would make up in enthusiasm and sheer gratitude. I would even take him after Parker finished with him. No regrets.
Bitch Boy Brady has been working out for me so far this year, I don't like him but I'll take the points each week.
I'm extremely disappointed in myself in regards to not playing the Patriots defense. I just hate Houston's offense way more, especially now that Arian Foster is out. Let's do a draft recap. Tom Brady $39, Julian Edelman $37, Dion Lewis $0 = 440.1 off points on their own 7 weeks of play. That's about 49% of the points of the highest scoring team, for $76. Here's the thing with CJ2K and lots of reading went into this so I don't want to sound like some magician. When his numbers fell off from his historic run, they were at first because people started selling out to stop him and he played a harder schedule. Even then he was still far north of 1000 yards. He was averaging about 250 carries, nothing too crazy for a running back opposed to DeMarco Murray's 300 plus he did last year. Then his offensive coordinator changed, who wanted to run the ball less and fuck with the scheme. It can bee seen how this is fucking with Peterson right now, running out the shotgun just isn't the same, and when they do run out of Single back sets, he does damage. The Jets was a different situation as well, they had a shitty QB, the offensive line was constantly tired out from trying to protect a shitty QB and Rex isn't that great of a coach overall. The biggest thing about CJ is that his falloff was NEVER associated with an injury. No ACL tears, no MCL sprains, none of that. It was all scheme and team based. Bruce Arians has a history of leaning on veterans longer than newer flashier guys. Once CJ got those first few games going with no injury record (compared to Ellington and the unknown of patterns of David Johnson) that was pretty much a wrap. I have to take my Tom Brady post to the NFL thread. Don't want to break this thread with all the semen. P.S. Fuck Joseph Randle. Fuck him all the way to hell and back.
