Jimmy, you might be the luckiest mf'er in fantasy football. Congrats on the win, but holy fuck, dude.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but this ranks right up there with watching the Seahawks win the Super Bowl and holding my kid for the first time. Hell of a season.
The least I could do after stealing a top 5 QB. You're a stronger man than me. I would have broken my phone and every computer in the house if I lost like that.
Aside from the Jones for Wilson trade, my smartest moves were trading Randall Cobb and Mason Crosby for Mark Ingram and Amari Cooper. Picking up Tim Hightower saved my ass when I saw Ingram went down. I thought for sure someone else would have picked him up and my season was in the shitter. My dumbest moves were easily dropping Chris Johnson, Thomas Rawls and Doug Baldwin. The Baldwin drop was the most galling, especially since he turned into a blasian Steve Largent immediately after I dropped him. Anyway, so how does the winner take all thing work?
Good game, @Hoosiermess ... it was close, and if only I played Baldwin who was listed as "questionable". 2nd place ain't so bad, I guess... but it was damn close.
Well this almost concludes the end of the fantasy season. I'm going to wait until Wednesday before declaring any champions as there is still stat corrections that may come through and the one final that is separated by half a yard might change. Once things are finalized, I'm going to hand out the instructions for the final match-up of the season between the two champions. Hope everyone enjoyed this years fantasy season and will be back for more next year.
For being in last place week 8, I'll sure take being in the black 5 bucks. But what's most importantly fuck MoreCowbell shouldn't have even been in the championship
For those not in the know, this can't be understated. Cowbell's team was proof that you can be terrible at drafting and still have a chance.
Congratulations @Hoosiermess ! Fun times were had by all (even if I am still bitter because I think I deserved to be in the playoffs). But I'll definitely join in next season, and try to draft people who aren't going to get hurt or just outright suck.
I've never seen anything like it. Great game, far too close for comfort. A couple different starts for both of us and this game could have been drastically different.
